The leaf holds crisp papadums, two flatbreads that look like thick pooris or dosas, a mound of yellow lemon or turmeric rice, a white dollop of yogurt, a mixed vegetable curry, a small heap of red chutney, cucumber and tomato slices, and a bowl of colourful rice salad. Four to five small white bowls of thin lentil soup, sambar or rasam sit at the top right. Partial dishes appear at the lower right and bottom edge, with a piece of sweet on the lower left.
