Street photo in a narrow lane of Varanasi with a weathered temple shikhara visible behind buildings. In the foreground a man with long dark swept-back hair, a red tilak, a thick marigold garland and an orange-red robe walks holding a tall staff, smiling. Beside him a shaved-headed man in white dhoti and kurta with a purple-edged shawl and lanyard walks, carrying a black bag. Behind them a crowd of pilgrims, a woman in a green and yellow sari, and shopkeepers in front of a stall selling snacks. Bicycles line the left edge.2006-01-06A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and wrap stands in a procession, head bowed, wearing a thick garland of white jasmine, red and yellow flowers and green leaves, and a long gold bead necklace. His long dark hair falls past his shoulders and he has white and red forehead markings. Behind him, men in white ritual clothes and a man in an orange top walk among a crowd of devotees. Swamiji (probable): the long swept hair, saffron clothing, garland and gold necklace are consistent with the page's identification, and the central figure is a long-haired man in saffron in procession.2009-12-23January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesA man with long swept-back dark hair and a white tilak on his forehead walks in an orange sleeveless top and orange dhoti, draped in a long orange shawl and a thick garland of yellow, white and red-purple flowers with gold bead strands. Behind him, devotees in white shirts and orange robes crowd a temple courtyard, including a bald man in white with a white forehead marking and a red bindi, and a woman in a yellow garment. A stone plaque is visible on the wall behind. The page flags this as a person at the event, and his appearance shows long swept-back hair, saffron-red clothing and gold ornamental necklace, but the image is not clear enough to confirm him, so the a person field is set to unsure.2010-01-08February 13 20132013-02-13January 01 20082008-01-01
