A seated figure in red and gold garments sits on the throne, with a red cloth and a small offering on the floor before it. Lines of people stand on both sides facing inward: on the left men in white dhotis with gold borders and orange shawls, one with a long plaited braid; on the right women and girls in orange and saffron saris and white attire, some with hands pressed together. A child in yellow stands near the centre aisle. A pedestal fan and a floor lamp stand at the edges. The scene suggests a devotional gathering in progress.2016-03-30A large group of men and young boys in a hall dances energetically in a crowded congregation. Many wear orange and saffron dhotis or wraps with red sashes, some bare-chested with rudraksha malas, while others wear white kurtas and white dhotis with red shawls. Several raise arms and fists in celebration. In the foreground, a long-haired figure seen from behind, wearing an orange and red wrap, watches the dance. Walls display framed devotional posters and a deity picture; a red carpet runs along the left side.2016-09-30A large hall with a polished floor and red-curtained walls hung with framed pictures. Two lines of devotees face each other down the centre aisle, many in white dhotis and kurtas with red sashes, others in orange and saffron saris and kurtas with gold borders, several with hands raised in greeting. At the far end, a seated figure in a red and gold robe sits on an ornate gold throne-like seat before a wooden backdrop, with a ceremonial staff nearby. The scene is a group ritual in progress.2016-03-30March 30 20162016-03-30A photograph of a hall during an initiation session, with many people seated on orange cloth mats on the floor. Most seated attendees wear orange or saffron sarongs and shawls, with rudraksha malas and beaded necklaces; several have long dreadlocked hair tied back. A standing woman in a white sari with a gold border and an older woman in white garments stand among them. On the right, an ornate gold-and-red chair sits empty, flanked by tripod-mounted cameras, and a large screen shows a figure in the top right corner. A man in white kurta stands at left.2017-11-13July 28 20152015-07-28March 30 20162016-03-30May 20 20132013-05-20March 30 20162016-03-30
