A man in a rust-orange turban and orange-and-gold shawl with a beaded orange mala stands at left, gesturing with one hand toward a glass case on a table holding offerings. Beside him, a bald man in orange robes and glasses with a beaded orange necklace looks toward the case. Another person in orange clothing stands in the background near the wall prints, and a cropped figure is at the far right edge. A pink Ganesha figure sits in a wooden cabinet at left. Several people are visible, all in orange and saffron tones.2015-10-27A photograph inside a small room with a green-tiled floor and cream walls covered in many gold-framed devotional prints and paintings of deities. In the centre, a woman in an orange sari with a white flower garland stands with her hands near her chest, facing the wall. Beside her, a figure with long dark hair wears a white kurta with an orange shawl and stands with his back to the camera. At left, a man in a pink shirt and white dhoti stands with palms pressed together beside a flaming oil lamp, and another person's hand holds a lamp near the edge of the frame. Brass lamps and small offerings sit on a low stand in the foreground.2010-02-18September 15 20152015-09-15 +1 copiesA photograph inside a bright, simply built hall with a corrugated metal roof, lattice windows and wooden display shelves holding books. A person with long dark hair, wearing an orange sleeveless top, an orange dhoti-style wrap and a marigold garland, holds a lit oil lamp aloft in one hand while a small brass bell is in the other. Beside them, a second person in orange robes with a shawl stands with palms pressed together in prayer. Framed devotional paintings of deities hang on the wall, with yellow marigold garlands draped over the frames. On a dark stone altar are brass trays of fruit, a pink flower heap, a brass kalasha-style pot, a brass lamp and a framed portrait of a seated figure with a flower garland. The scene reads as puja and aarti.2010-02-16Photo inside a room with yellow-green walls and a framed black-and-white photograph on the left showing several men in white and brown robes walking together. A young man in a saffron-orange robe and orange turban, wearing a dark rudraksha mala, holds a silver object with a garland of white flowers, while a bald monk in orange robes on the right reaches toward it. A man in orange clothes stands behind them holding a flower garland, and another orange-robed monk stands at the far right. On the left, a monk in orange with a saffron head covering stands with hands pressed together in greeting. A checkered cushioned bench and a table with a white cloth complete the setting. Visible cues suggest a ritual exchange of a sacred object, and a camera is visible at the right edge.2010-01-28July 02 20142014-07-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a formal presentation in a room with a framed painting of a deity and a gold-framed mirror-like panel.
