A photograph of a devotee in a rust-orange and gold-bordered dhoti or silk garment with bare upper body, adorned with gold armlets and bangles and a hair bun, draping a long red-and-white flower garland over a tall copper-coloured ritual pillar or flagstaff. The pillar has a carved ornamental mid-section with small pillared niches, a fluted bowl base, and a white cloth wrapped around its top. Coconut palms and green foliage surround the scene under a bright sky. A second person in orange and white cloth stands partly visible at the right.2015-04-21A woman in an orange sari with a red and orange flower garland and gold jewellery stands beside a carved wooden palanquin or ratha decorated with white and red flower garlands and a white cloth wrapped around a kalasha-topped top. She raises a red flower in her right hand toward the structure, smiling in bright outdoor sunlight with palm fronds behind her. A brass vessel is held nearby by another person's hand at the right edge.2015-01-04Outdoors under bright sky and palm fronds, a person in a maroon garment with gold stripes raises an orange-and-blue umbrella while reaching toward a large bronze-toned ritual vessel or kalasha with a carved, tiered top. The vessel is draped with white flower garlands and red rose garlands tied with gold ribbon. A long red-and-white bead mala hangs from the person's neck. The umbrella shades the vessel during what appears to be a temple or ashram ritual.2014-08-20 +1 copiesAugust 20 20142014-08-20 +1 copiesA man in a rust-red dhoti and matching shawl with a gold-bordered edge stands beside a tall copper-toned ceremonial pillar wrapped with yellow and orange marigold garlands. He wears a layered rudraksha-style bead mala with a floral garland draped over his shoulders, and his head is bare with short hair. Palm trees and greenery fill the background under an overcast sky, and a couple of partially visible onlookers stand at the left edge.
