A man with long dark hair and a trimmed beard sits on an ornate gold-and-silver throne decorated with red flower garlands, his bare upper body wrapped in a rust-orange shawl and a white tilak on his forehead. He smiles while reaching toward a silver-chained ceremonial structure, and a second figure with a bun and gold earring is partly visible at the right edge. A small orange-brown cushion rests beside him, and a colourful painted pillar stands behind the throne. Swamiji (probable) seated on the throne with long hair and an orange shawl; the visible cues are the swept hair, saffron wrap and ceremonial setting.2018-05-24May 24 20182018-05-24May 22 20182018-05-22May 24 20182018-05-24A photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes with long dark matted hair, a white vibhuti mark on his forehead, multiple rudraksha mala strands and a gold pendant necklace, placing his right hand on the head of an older grey-haired man kneeling before him in white clothes with hands folded in anjali. The seated figure sits on a leopard-print cushioned seat in front of gold-toned carved panels with ornate scrollwork and lattice openings, with a silver-toned carved backrest at left and a small silver tray with offerings on a side table. The gesture suggests blessing or darshan. Swamiji (probable): long dark hair, saffron robes and rudraksha malas identify the seated figure as the presenter of the blessing.2017-10-04April 26 20172017-04-26A bearded man with long dark hair, bare-chested under a rust-orange shawl, stands beside an ornate silver-and-brass shrine structure during a night ritual. He wears a white tilak on his forehead and a red wrist thread, and his hands handle a white cord or strand near the metalwork. Red and orange garlands hang from the carved wooden canopy, and marigold-and-green-decorated pillars frame the scene. A woman in a maroon sari stands at the right edge, partly visible.2018-05-24A photograph of a bearded man with long dark hair and a white tilak on his forehead, bare-chested and wearing a rust-orange sash, seated on a gilded throne-like seat with red cushions. Red and orange flower garlands hang above him. He reaches toward a silver-and-brass ritual structure, while a second person with bare back and a rudraksha-style beaded necklace stands at right. Ritual seat setting suggests a puja or darshan setting.2018-05-24A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a seated man in a silver-and-red throne chair, wearing a deep red-brown robe, multiple gold beaded necklaces, rudraksha bracelets and a red tilak on the forehead, with long dark hair and a full beard. He is placing his hand on the head of a shaved-headed bare-backed man kneeling before him, appearing to bless or initiate him. Behind them are gold and red deity murti and a golden kalasha-like shrine element. A figure in orange robes stands at the right holding a white cord. The setting suggests a deeksha or blessing ritual at the Nithyanandeshwara Temple during Navaratri. The seated man has distinctive long swept-back hair, a gold necklace and rudraksha mala, a shawl-like robe and a throne, which together give probable Swamiji cues.2017-09-26A seated man with long dark hair and a white tilak on his forehead sits eyes closed on an ornate silver throne with a red cushioned seat and carved elephant motifs, under a silver canopy draped with red and white flower garlands. He wears an orange-red ochre robe, multiple rudraksha malas, and beaded arm bands, with hands clasped in his lap. A leopard-print cushion rests at his feet. Gold-embossed panels decorate the background, with silver trishula staffs and a trident-topped finial at the sides and a kalasha-like finial on the right. Persons: one seated figure in saffron robes, a partially visible attendant in orange at left. Setting appears to be a temple-like hall. The figure appears to be Swamiji (probable), identified by long swept-back hair, rudraksha malas and ochre robes while seated on the throne.2018-05-22February 13 20172017-02-13December 21 20162016-12-21
