KAILASA HOUSTON, USA on 8/18/20222022-08-18Women in colourful saris perform an arati-style ritual in a temple hall with a wooden floor and yellow and orange painted circles. In the foreground, several women raise their arms toward the deities, one in a pink and yellow sari with a blue blouse, another in a green and red sari with gold border, and another in a striped blue and yellow lehenga. Behind them a man in white with a yellow dhoti and white headwear stands near a low dark altar. Deity murtis are dressed in blue, purple and gold garments, decorated with marigold garlands and yellow drapery, with brass lamps and offerings on the altar.
