Two black sandals decorated with white and blue flowers rest on a leopard-print cloth in the foreground, flanked by rudraksha malas and small brass figures with yellow flower garlands. Behind them, a framed photograph of a smiling man in an orange robe and a gold-beaded necklace, with a red-and-orange flower garland, is labelled as a portrait. To the right stands a large image of Shiva with a crescent moon and garlands. A trident, a striped drum, a kalasha-style vessel and a bowl of offerings complete the shrine. No living people are visible beyond a partial arm at the left edge.2022-09-07 +1 copiesA home shrine photographed from close range, with a framed portrait at the centre of the altar. The portrait shows a smiling man with short dark hair, a red tilak mark, an orange robe and a long gold-coloured bead necklace, with his right hand raised in blessing; it is a depiction, not a person present. A red and white flower garland drapes the frame. Beside it, a framed image of Shiva with a white body and a yellow-orange flower garland is visible. Brass figures stand on the altar, including a small Ganesha murti in gold tone surrounded by yellow and white flowers, and a brass trident. A striped drum, a yellow cloth on the left, a red and gold kalasha-style pot and a red apple sit among the offerings. Some of the shrine is partly cropped at the edges, with a woman's bangled arm visible at the upper left. No people are present in the altar area itself beyond that partial arm.2022-06-29 +1 copies
