White and blue plastic chairs line the tables, and a few people stand and walk along the room, including a figure in orange near the back. Rows of tables with blue plastic chairs are filled with seated diners in white clothes, many eating from steel plates. In the foreground a standing server in white wears an orange shawl over his shoulder and carries a tray of steel bowls and plates. Other attendants in white and orange move between tables and along the back serving counter, while tall windows let in bright light.2007-12-27Interior of a large whitewashed hall with exposed steel roof trusses and ceiling fans, where a communal meal is being served. Many men and women in white dhotis, white shirts and traditional white or cream saris line up in a queue at the right, holding steel plates, while others sit at blue plastic chairs and tables on the left eating from steel plates and bowls. Servers in white stand behind stainless steel vessels at the right, ladling food. A small shrine-like niche and framed picture appear on the far wall. This appears to be a community annadan meal.2008-06-17A photograph of a long dining hall with rows of people seated at metal-legged tables, eating from green banana-leaf plates with cups beside them. Several people in the foreground wear white and light-coloured clothing; a man in the centre walks between the rows wearing a white dhoti with an orange-red thread at the waist, appearing to serve or attend. Barred windows line the left wall and the floor is pale tile. Other figures stand near the back, and the scene resembles a community meal at a ritual or ashram-style annadan.
