KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 6/11/20222022-06-11KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 6/11/20222022-06-11 +1 copiesA temple room with red draped backdrop and garlands, many deity murtis on raised platforms. Center, a seated figure in orange clothing and an orange turban with a red-and-white rudraksha mala is a probable Swamiji candidate by appearance cues (orange clothing, turban, mala); the central figure sits behind a wooden pedestal with a kalasha-like vessel. A man in white kurta and dhoti sits on a chair at left, barefoot. Three women sit on the green-patterned carpet at right: one in a yellow sari, one in a turquoise salwar kameez, one in a brown kurta. In front, a platter of fruit including watermelon, bowls of sweets and offerings, and lit oil lamps form an offering arrangement, with a small potted plant nearby.2024-12-05Indoor temple hall with a grey tiled floor and circular yellow and white painted lines. Behind the ritual area, golden arched shrines hold deity murtis, including a multi-armed figure and a standing figure with a crown, with draped gold-and-beige curtains around them. A priest in a bare upper body and white dhoti sits cross-legged at the front left, wearing a rudraksha-style garland and a black face mask, with a brass lamp and a bowl of red flowers before him. Another priest in white sits at a low wooden table, and a bald man in a white dhoti sits near the centre. Along a red-draped low table, many silver-foil-covered plates of offerings are laid out next to fruit trays of bananas, apples and limes. Two more priests in white dhotis work at the right side near a richly dressed deity. A woman in white sits at the centre back, and the scene shows an ongoing puja with oil lamps and offerings.2020-11-14March 06 20202020-03-06 +1 copiesPhoto 82855542022-05-08 +1 copiesIndoor photo of a devotional gathering in a hall with orange and red walls, a red curtain and a tiled floor with a yellow circle marked on it. Seated on the right of centre is a figure in an ornate red-and-gold turban and orange garment with a long beaded necklace, raising one hand, appearing to be a person, seated on a carved wooden throne with white flower garlands at its base; he is a seated presence. Behind him stands a large red-and-gold statue of a deity holding a trident, with a smaller figure nearby. Around them, about fifteen people sit on red chairs or on the floor in white ritual clothes; a woman in a white sari sits cross-legged in front, a woman in a pink and orange sari sits beside her, and a bare-chested man in white trousers sits at right. A wall air conditioner and ceiling lights are visible.2020-02-08 +1 copiesA photograph of a temple ritual in a shrine room. A shirtless priest in a white dhoti with a gold border stands at left, pouring water from a vessel in a stream of liquid across an altar. Behind him stand several large carved wooden figures decorated with flower garlands, including a central figure in a red turban wearing a rudraksha mala and ornate gold necklaces, a figure with a trident, and a figure in a red-and-white turban. Brass oil lamps and kalasha vessels sit on the altar with a red and green cloth. Seated devotees in gold chairs watch: a woman in a pale green outfit, a bald man in a dark suit, and a woman in orange robes at right. Ornate golden arches frame the scene. This appears to be an abhishekam.2024-07-09Inside a gold-decorated temple hall, a seated deity murti in red and white garments with a crown-like headdress and a white garland sits on a golden throne with a gold arch behind it. Around the base, a yellow cloth covers a low platform with pink flowers, and brass plates hold flowers, kumkum and vibhuti. Four women sit on the floor facing the murti: at left a woman in a beige top, at centre-left a woman in a green blouse and yellow sari, and at right two women in orange saffron robes, one with a rudraksha mala and one with a long braid, offering puja items. Oil lamps and brass vessels stand nearby, with more gold shrines and figures in the background.2022-07-21 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple shrine where five people sit in prayer before a central figure seated on a raised red-draped seat. The seated figure wears a red robe, a red turban, and a garland of flowers, with hands joined in namaste; a dark deity murti stands in an arched gold niche behind him. Before the group are brass oil lamps, a brass vessel, bowls of flower petals, and offerings on a low wooden table. On the left, a young man with bare chest, white dhoti and sandalwood markings on his arms and chest kneels with palms joined. Next to him, a woman in a white and gold sari kneels in prayer. On the right, a woman in a white top and a woman in a pink sari with bangles kneel with palms together, and a woman in orange robes with a headwrap kneels at the far right. Gold curtains, a marigold-decorated arch and a colourful striped banner frame the scene, with a second deity figure to the far left. Five physical people are visible in the scene.2019-02-17KAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 1/2/20222022-01-02Feb 5 2022 sripuram2022-02-05
