KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 10/22/20222022-10-22A stage performance at an indoor venue with a black backdrop and a potted palm at left. Five young women in traditional South Indian dance costumes stand in a row. At left, a woman in an orange-saffron shawl and a white garment kneels or bows while receiving a red cloth-wrapped object from a woman in white. In the center, a woman in a green and blue sari with gold trim and white flowers in her hair stands with palms pressed together in a namaskar gesture. The other dancers wear orange, gold and yellow silk saris with gold jewellery, floral hair adornments and bangles. No identifiable a person appearance is visible, so no ceremonial figure is labelled.2008-05-03Photo 99189162022-10-22 +1 copiesKAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 3/4/20192019-03-04 +1 copiesOctober 10 20182018-10-10December 31 20182018-12-31 +1 copiesOctober 29 20162016-10-29 +1 copiesA stage performance of classical Indian dance by several female dancers in traditional costume. The woman on the left wears a gold and cream silk sari with a white and red-bordered pallu, a gold-embroidered blouse, gold bangles, a jewelled headpiece with white flowers in her hair, and a red bindi. She smiles while holding a long green and white flower garland raised with her partner, who wears a gold and brown brocade skirt and matching gold bangles and headpiece. The backdrop shows a partial painted image in warm tones.2008-05-03A stage event with a black backdrop and a potted palm at left, with an illuminated green EXIT sign. A woman in an orange saffron-coloured wrap stands at left, taking a gesture of respect from a woman in a red and gold silk sari with green pleated border who bends forward with her palms together. Behind them, young women in ornate Indian costume stand watching: one in a blue and orange outfit with gold jewellery, and two on the right in yellow and purple silk blouses with gold bangles and flower decorations in their hair. The setting suggests a cultural programme at a Kailaasa event.2008-05-03
