KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 5/19/20222022-05-19A home shrine on a yellow cloth altar. Centre right, a large folded rust-orange cloth bundle sits with a gold brooch pinned to it. Behind it, a large colour portrait shows a smiling man with long dark hair, a red bindi, a gold bead necklace and an orange robe, raising one hand before a banyan tree; this is a printed portrait, not a physical person. At left, a black-and-white framed photograph with a red and gold garland shows a robed figure wearing an ornate crown. Surrounding objects include a lit oil lamp in a brass bowl with white flowers, glass candle holders, a purple carved animal figure, a small white vase, red flowers and white artificial roses.2022-05-20 +1 copiesPhoto 66794902022-05-23 +1 copiesKAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 7/22/20222022-07-22 +1 copiesKAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 6/8/20222022-06-08 +1 copiesA home altar table draped in yellow cloth holds a framed colour portrait of a smiling man with long dark hair, a tilak mark, a gold necklace of beads, and an orange robe, raising one hand in blessing against a backdrop of banyan roots; the image is printed, so it is a depiction. Beside it stands a smaller framed black-and-white photograph of a seated man in ornate clothing, edged with a red and yellow garland. In front are a bundle of rust-brown cloth on a stand with a gold brooch, a purple stone elephant figure, oil lamp with a lit flame, glass vases with white flowers, a small floral arrangement, and a potted green bouquet. A statue of a deity appears at the left edge.2022-05-22 +1 copiesKAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 7/21/20222022-07-21 +1 copiesA home altar set on a yellow cloth. A large framed portrait on the back shows a smiling man in orange robes and a long beaded necklace, raising one hand in blessing, with a red tilak on his forehead and a banyan-root background. Its appearance is consistent with a person, shown as a portrait. In front, a folded rust-orange cloth sits on a stand with a gold brooch. Beside it are a small black-and-white framed photo of a seated man in a crown-like headdress, a purple carved animal figure, crystal vases, a small white flower vase, a glass candle holder with a lit candle and a brass oil lamp with red flowers. Red and yellow garlands drape the frames.2022-08-23 +1 copiesA home shrine on a yellow cloth draped table. A large framed colour photograph shows a smiling man with long dark hair, a red bindi, an orange robe and a cream and gold beaded garland, one hand raised in blessing, seated before a banyan tree's aerial roots; the page identifies this as Swamiji, and the depicted figure has long swept-back hair, orange clothing and ornate garlands, so this is a probable depiction. A smaller black-and-white framed portrait in an ornate silver frame, wearing a crown and garland, is labelled with printed text. In front stands a folded rust-coloured cloth bundle with a gold brooch, a lit oil lamp on a brass plate strewn with yellow flowers, two glass candle holders, a white flower-decorated vase, a carved green and purple stone figure, and red and white garlands. No physical people are present.2022-08-12 +1 copiesPhoto 82859322022-08-24 +1 copiesPhoto 82917232022-08-21 +1 copiesPhoto 82921562022-06-30 +1 copies
