A photograph of a sacred fire burning in a stone-lined fire pit at night. Large orange flames rise from the centre, with smaller flames licking along the lower left edge. The pit rim is decorated with a coloured rangoli-style border in green, magenta and white, scattered with rice grains, marigold petals and yellow flower offerings. Blurred white cloth and dark foliage frame the background. This appears to be a homa or yagna fire. No people are visible.2016-12-05Close photograph of a large open flame rising from a brick-walled fire pit, a homa or yagna fire.
