Red curtains hang in the background.2020-12-20A photograph of a temple shrine decorated for worship, with a large golden deity murti or group of murtis seated on an ornate throne backed by a gold arch. Garlands of white, yellow, orange and red flowers hang across the figures, and several statues of figures in gold, red and maroon clothing stand beside them, one wearing a rudraksha mala. In the foreground a bare-chested priest in white dhoti, facing away from the camera and wearing a face mask, pours or offers something over a shivalinga-like object wrapped in gold and garlanded with flowers. Brass oil lamps and a small figure in pink sit at the base of the shrine. The person in the foreground is a priest performing abhishekam or puja; the figures on the altar are statues, not physical people.2022-03-01KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 3/1/20222022-03-01
