August 08 20092009-08-08A photograph of a small indoor room with a pink-tiled floor and a red plastic chair. A man in a white kurta with an orange shawl and a rudraksha mala kneels on a mat, handling small items and money beside orange marigold petals. Opposite him a person with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a white and yellow marigold garland, sits on the floor with hands resting on the mat. Another person in orange sits at the lower right, and a man in orange stands at left. Several standing men in checked and striped shirts watch from the back of the room.2008-06-09A seated man with long dark hair and a white garland, wearing an orange-red robe, rests his right hand on the head of a kneeling elderly man in a white shirt and white dhoti who has his palms joined in namaskar. A woman in a maroon sari kneels beside them with head bowed. Behind them, several seated men in white dhotis and orange shawls watch quietly, and a figure in an orange robe stands at the back. A low wooden stool holds a silver plate, and fruit and a brass lamp sit on a floral cloth in the foreground. The scene appears to be a blessing or darshan in a hall with a white-draped seat and a red curtain at left.2008-10-15Outdoor photo of a welcome ceremony on a dirt ground in front of a decorated tent. A long-haired man in an orange saffron robe wears a thick garland of white, yellow, red and purple flowers, with a gold-toned bead strand at his chest, and smiles. A man in white shirt and trousers with folded hands bows toward him, while a man in white with a yellow shawl and a gold-rimmed plate stands nearby. A man in an orange robe holds a tall golden staff on the right, a person in white kneels in the foreground, and a cameraman in an orange garment films beside a water tank. Several people in white and orange are visible.2009-12-23A devotee in a white shirt and white dhoti prostrates on a red carpet, palms pressed together, forehead bowed toward the bare feet of a standing figure draped in orange cloth with a long white and red flower garland hanging from the shoulder. Behind him, two men in orange shawls over white clothing stand watching, one shaved-headed and one wearing glasses. Scattered petals lie on the red carpet. The setting appears to be an outdoor satsang or pada puja style honouring, with the standing figure in orange clothing forming the focal point. The garlanded figure's face is not visible.2010-12-29A dimly lit indoor photograph of a seated figure in an orange turban and orange shawl, wearing a thick multicolour garland of yellow marigolds, red roses and green leaves, hands folded in namaskar and face lowered. Around him, devotees in white kurta and dhoti kneel and sit closely; one man on the right leans forward with palms pressed together, another at left holds his hands joined, and a man in the upper left wears an orange shawl and holds a small object to his chin. A man in front-left shows a bare upper body with beaded rudraksha-style necklaces. The figure in the turban has an orange garment and a garland, consistent with a person appearance, with the cues being the orange turban, orange shawl and garland; the person is being honoured in a ritual gathering during a procession-style event.2006-09-24August 11 20092009-08-11Indoor hall photograph of a devotional reception. A kneeling man in a white shirt and grey trousers bows his head toward him with hands in namaste, while a white-shirted man stands with palms joined in front. On the left a bald man in white dhoti with a sacred thread and rudraksha-like beads stands near an orange-robed attendant. Behind, a yellow shirt and other devotees stand in a hall with tiled white floor, decorated pillars with coloured diamond motifs, and a white draped ceiling canopy. Several figures are visible in the background.2011-01-26June 27 20102010-06-27A photograph of a seated figure in an orange-red robe with a white forehead band and a white and red flower garland, hands pressed together in namaskar. A man in a white shirt bends over and reaches toward the figure's head, possibly applying a blessing or tilak. Behind them, people in white dhotis and white kurtas wearing rudraksha malas stand near a striped woven mat and a garlanded seat, with a yellow-clad attendant at the right edge. The setting appears to be a temple interior at night with a framed picture on the wall. The seated figure has no visible long hair, crown or ceremonial gold ornaments, so the appearance does not qualify as a person candidate; the figure is described by role as a devotee receiving blessing.2009-07-13January 10 20092009-01-10Outdoor photo of a seated figure in an orange-red robe with long dark hair and a white-and-pink flower garland draped over the shoulders, smiling and raising one hand. In front, a man in white ritual clothes and eyeglasses bends forward to place a garland of red and white flowers and green leaves on the seated figure. Several men in white shirts and dhotis stand behind, some with hands reaching toward the seated figure, and scattered flower petals lie on the ground. The figure's appearance shows several cues such as long swept hair and an orange-saffron robe, but the page does not indicate a person at this event, so this is a person being honoured rather than an identified candidate. Orange and white garlands and a floral-patterned cloth are visible at the lower right.2009-02-15
