Outdoor photograph of a temple complex under bright blue sky. On the left, a tall wooden scaffolded chariot structure, a ratha, stands with a golden figure at its summit and green leaf festoons hanging on its frame. On the right, a towering white gopuram covered in carved sculptures of deities and figures rises above the grounds. A palm tree and a leafy tree with fresh green foliage stand in front. No people are visible in the scene.2009-01-12A tall, tiered gopuram of a South Indian temple rises against a clear blue sky, its whitewashed facade densely carved with rows of sculpted deities, figures and decorative niches. Small rectangular windows punctuate the stonework, and a row of dark finial pinnacles crowns the top. Tall coconut palms in the foreground partly frame the tower. No people are visible in the scene.2012-09-12A gold-decorated ceremonial vehicle with a canopy is draped in yellow marigold garlands and purple flower strands, moving past a tall white gopuram temple tower with carved figures. A wooden scaffold rises beside the tower and a palm tree stands in front. A man in white sits in the vehicle's open front, one hand raised in greeting, with a framed portrait mounted on the vehicle's side. An orange flag is attached to the vehicle. In the foreground, several men in white and orange clothing and a man in white dhoti walk near stalls of produce. The scene suggests a procession around a temple.2009-01-12February 06 20172017-02-06 +1 copiesJuly 08 20122012-07-08A large white gopuram of a South Indian temple rises in the background, its tiers carved with many sculpted figures and niches, lit by bright sunlight from behind.
