A photograph inside a stone temple hall with carved granite pillars and warm lamplight. A large crowd of devotees, many women in white saris with orange or red borders and some with flowers in their hair, sit on the floor facing a raised platform at centre. On the platform, a man in an orange and saffron garment and a turban-like orange head covering sits before a decorated altar with flower garlands and brass vessels. Two bare-chested priests in white dhotis stand on the steps beside him, and several men in white shirts and white dhotis, some with orange shawls, stand around the edges. The scene appears to be a ritual offering in progress.

A tall figure in a long saffron-orange robe with a pink-and-white flower garland and long swept-back hair holds a lit oil lamp toward a deity murti draped in white with yellow and white flower garlands. Behind them, men and women in white dhotis and saris raise kalasha pots on their heads while devotees stand with palms pressed together at left. A small orange-roofed shrine model sits at lower right.
