A man in white clothes sits cross-legged on a bare ground, bent over a large sheet of tan paper spread on the floor. He is tracing or drawing a curling scrollwork ornament with a pen-like tool, while a dark blue sheet lies beside his hand. Other sheets with drawn motifs, a wooden board, a wooden straight edge, and scattered books and a suitcase surround him in dappled sunlight.

A man in a white short-sleeved shirt and white dhoti sits on the floor sketching with a pencil on a sheet of paper resting on a clipboard. The drawing shows blue-ink scrollwork and curling motifs. Behind him is a bronze deity murti on a shelf and a white wall with a metal fixture at right. A man is the only physical person; no candidate for a person is visible.

Three men work together on a template in a workshop with a concrete floor and wall. A man in white shirt and white dhoti with a green border, wearing glasses, holds a sheet of paper with a carved-design drawing on a wooden board and points with a pencil. A young man in a dark t-shirt and blue shorts crouches beside a green bucket and reaches toward the board. A man in an olive-green striped shirt and pink patterned cloth kneels in front, tracing the design. Behind them, stacks of pale sculpted and moulded figure pieces and cloth bags are piled near tools on the floor.

A close photograph of a craftsperson's hand tracing a blue-ink scroll and cloud-like floral design onto a sheet of white paper laid over a reddish-brown metal surface with a gold-coloured edge. Only a hand and forearm are visible, with another person's foot at the top edge, so no face or a person candidate appears. The design appears to be a decorative motif prepared for metalwork or engraving.

Two men in white dhoti and shirt sit on the floor of a workshop carving and hammering metal panels for a temple. The man in front works with a chisel on a copper-coloured plate resting on a wooden block, while the man behind uses a small hammer on a gilded ornamental piece. Around them lie a curved gilded decorative frame, a wooden block, metal tools and scattered metal shavings, with a concrete block wall and a carved wooden table behind.

A workshop scene where three men sit on the floor around a low wooden board tracing a paper design. The man on the left wears a white shirt and white dhoti with a green-and-gold border and eyeglasses, and he points with a pen at the drawing. A young man in a dark top and blue shorts crouches beside a green plastic bucket, and another man in an olive-green striped shirt and red patterned lungi bends over the sheet. Behind them are tools, a wooden stool, and a pile of pale moulded forms and bags, with pottery and a shelf in the background.

A man with grey hair and glasses sits cross-legged on a wooden workbench, wearing a white shirt and a yellow dhoti, working on a flat piece of wood with his bare foot pressed to the surface while his hands hold a tool. Behind him stands a large metal plate with an embossed floral design and a paper pattern taped to it. A sheet of yellow cloth lies on the bench beside a metal straight edge. Other people and wooden panels and carved pieces are visible in the sandy background, along with a blue water drum. The figure is an ordinary craftsman and the appearance does not support identifying him as a person.
