Procession through a narrow stone-paved temple corridor toward open wooden doors. A musician in front plays a long pipe (nadaswaram-style) with a drummer at right holding a drum with a red cloth. Central figure in a red-orange robe with a garland and a pink cloth in hand walks at the head of a group of devotees in saffron and orange clothing; behind them a bare-chested man in white dhoti with a pink shawl and rudraksha-style beads walks barefoot. A trident hangs on the left wall. Several men in white and grey shirts follow. The central figure's cues are a red-orange robe and garland only, insufficient for identification, so described by role as a devotee in procession.2009-07-13August 02 20082008-08-02August 02 20082008-08-02A photo of a procession moving along a covered walkway lined with metal railings and colourful painted pillars. At left, a man in white dhoti and shirt plays a large barrel drum, and a younger man in white beside him carries a small ceremonial item. Behind them, a row of people in saffron and orange robes walks with garlands, including a bearded man in orange with a rudraksha mala and a woman in orange sari carrying a metal pot. Seated devotees in white and orange line the foreground, and a striped umbrella is visible at upper right.2009-06-01Temple procession inside a stone-pillared hall. A bare-chested man with a white-and-red vertical tilak and a rudraksha mala wears a white dhoti with a red-bordered cloth. In the centre, a figure in long saffron-orange robes, hands folded in namaskar, has long dark hair swept back, a distinctive appearance matching the page's a person reference; this is an appearance-based probable candidate. Beside him, another saffron-robed man walks. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti walks ahead, and on the right a man in grey kurta and white dhoti plays a long wind instrument (nadaswaram) with a flared bell, a garland hanging from it. Two other men in white and saffron appear in the background, along with a woman in a red sari at the right edge.2008-07-29A street procession of devotees outside a stone temple gateway on an overcast day. In the foreground, a drummer in a saffron-orange cloth with a sacred ash mark on his forehead plays a large drum, while a woman in a black and patterned sari plays a long wind instrument. Behind them, men and women in white and saffron-orange shawls press palms together in namaskar. A man in white with a grey beard and an orange shawl stands in the middle of the group, and a woman in an orange dress with a gold-coloured beaded necklace smiles at the right. A decorated ceremonial umbrella with a red and gold canopy is raised above the crowd, and a shrine-like structure with a decorative top is visible in the background.2008-08-02Outdoor procession on a dirt path beside a garden with trees and pink flowering shrubs. Two musicians in white dhotis and shawls play long brass horns, and a drummer in white with a red and gold barrel drum walks at right. Behind them, a man with long dark hair, a saffron robe and a large gold-toned necklace walks in the centre, with a second saffron-robed man carrying a small brass kalasha or ritual vessel. Other men in white and onlookers, including women and children, stand along the path. A tall figure with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe, a large rudraksha-style bead necklace and a gold pendant, stands with palms pressed together in greeting. Around him devotees in orange shawls and white clothes press forward; a woman in a white sari with a jasmine flower in her hair stands in front, and a man in a yellow shirt with a red tilak occupies the lower right. A metal ritual lamp with bells hangs in the lower left foreground.2008-08-02
