A photograph of a temple tower, a gopuram, rising above a flat green field under a pale sky. The tower is tiered and dark stone with a blue-roofed scaffold or platform near its top, and a low red-walled compound extends to the right. A small dark bird flies in the upper left. Several figures stand or move near the base of the field, but they are small and distant, and the image shows temple structure rather than an event.

A photograph of a temple tower with a blue corrugated roof over a black-painted vertical shrine structure, set on a white steel frame with stairs. Beneath it sits a white bull Nandi statue beside a painted deity or guardian figure on a plinth with a gold-toned kalasha. A red and white striped compound wall runs along a dusty plot beside a green field, where several cattle and birds graze. A passenger train with blue and white carriages passes behind, and palm trees and green trees fill the background under a pale sky.

Outdoor photograph on a dirt courtyard beside a decorated temple chariot (ratham) with carved pillars and a seated deity murti under a canopy, with framed portraits on its side. A man in a white dhoti and an orange-bordered shawl stands at left with hands raised toward the chariot, apparently in worship. Another man in white clothing walks nearby. A small shrine at right holds a painted Ganesha figure with a blue backdrop, and a white shed with a tall white pillar stands behind. A white van is parked in the background under overcast sky.

A small outdoor shrine scene with a dark stone lingam set on a raised base, decorated with white and yellow flower offerings and possibly a garland. A person in white clothing kneels or stands at the left, touching or tending the shrine. A second person in a pink or red top stands at the right near a brown wall, with a green plant behind. The setting appears rural with trees and a light sky. This appears to be a puja or abhishekam at a Shiva lingam.

Outdoor photograph of two people in a grassy field under an overcast sky. A man in a white shirt and red-and-pink checked lungi walks away from the camera carrying a small white container, while a woman in a white top and blue skirt bends over near a patch of ground. Beside them stand two small white stone shrines with pillared, domed roofs, one with a tiered spire. Trees and a blue-roofed structure lie in the background, and dry yellow vegetation lines the left edge. No identifiable a person depiction is visible.

A dirt-road temple compound in a rural Tamil Nadu setting. On the left, a decorated wooden ratha chariot carries carved deity figures and small framed portraits attached to its sides. An elderly man in a white shirt and white dhoti walks past holding a green plastic bottle. To the right, a small blue shrine with a pillared canopy and gold-tipped finial houses a seated Ganesha figure garlanded with flowers. Behind them stands a tall white chimney beside a corrugated-roof shed and a white van, with trees and open land beyond.

A photograph of a temple tower top with a large bronze bell hanging from a wooden beam between yellow and blue painted pillars. Above the bell is a painted circular mandala-like design with red, orange and blue rings on a light blue panel under a grey roof. A small blue object sits on the roof edge. No people are visible. Weathered concrete and peeling paint show the temple is in need of repair.

Outdoor temple scene under shady trees with a golden arch and a large dark stone deity murti draped with orange cloth. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts stand in a row behind a low wooden railing, while others in orange and saffron garments stand near the murti. A low stone platform with flower offerings and a small red and green item sits in the foreground. The setting suggests an abhishekam or puja at a Dakshinamurthi shrine.

A small dark object is visible in the sky at upper left. No people are visible in the scene.
