Many have white and yellow tilaka marks and rudraksha malas around their necks, and several hold small ritual items in their hands while offering or chanting. Brass plates, small oil lamps and a floor covered with orange and cloth mats are visible in front of them, with a few people in the background seated in white. The scene resembles a puja or satsang with participants performing devotional actions together.2010-10-22 +1 copiesDecember 26 20122012-12-26A photograph of a row of seated men performing a puja in an indoor hall with a red curtain backdrop. In the foreground a man in white dhoti and shawl with gold-edged border and rudraksha mala holds his hands together in front of brass lamps and offerings on a mat. Beside him a man in white with gold-bordered shawl, bangles and ash markings, and several men in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas sit with hands folded near a brass plate of flowers, fruit and lit oil lamps. Small oil lamps and brass puja vessels are arranged along the floor, with a green-lidded plastic container and a glass container at the right. Several people sit further back in the blurred background.2011-12-31A night-time homa ritual in an open outdoor courtyard under a strip of green leaf-and-flower decoration. A square fire pit glows at centre, with flames rising from it. Several men in white dhotis and white upper cloths, with gold or beaded garlands, sit cross-legged around the pit and feed offerings into it from brass vessels and bowls. A bald priest in the middle, wearing white and garlands, sits on a raised carved wooden seat. On the right, a shrine-like altar holds brass oil lamps with flames, red flower garlands, fruit, and a decorated deity murti draped in green fabric. Behind the group, more people in white sit on mats, and a figure in white walks past. Coloured cloth panels hang on poles at the back.2010-10-16 +1 copiesJanuary 10 20172017-01-10September 21 20102010-09-21January 08 20172017-01-08April 29 20182018-04-29
