A photo of a decorated tent-like hall draped in orange and navy fabric, with a golden throne on the right holding a seated figure in orange clothing, long hair and rudraksha malas, holding a trident-topped staff and smiling. Beside the throne stands a sculpted deity murti of a figure seated on a mount, adorned with a garland, and a framed portrait with flowers sits on a small golden stand. In the foreground a bald man in orange dhoti performs a puja near lit oil lamps, a white-clad priest stands with folded hands, and a woman in a light blue sari and other devotees watch. Monitors and a ritual setup with brass items are visible. A banner with a striped pillar decorates the left side. Several people are visible in the scene.2013-02-06February 06 20132013-02-06August 28 20162016-08-28A photograph of a temple ritual at a shrine with a golden arched frame. Two people in saffron-orange robes stand at left: one holds a silver plate, the other, with long hair and a rudraksha-style garland, stands on a white platform. Before them is a golden deity murti, a seated couple form with a crown, garlands of white and orange flowers, and a green-and-red silk sash. A gold linga with garlands and a large gold abhishekam vessel sit in front, a blue-clad small deity figure lies at the base, and a golden lamp stands at right. Petals are scattered on the floor.2010-02-12February 12 20132013-02-12Stage shot of a temple-style ceremony. A seated man in a rust-red turban and matching rust-red clothing, with a pink flower garland and a gold chain, sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, hands joined in namaste. Beside him, a shirtless young priest in an orange dhoti and orange shawl stands at a large floral-decorated deity murti, arranging or offering at its base. The murti is adorned with a rainbow arc of red, white, purple and yellow flower garlands; brass oil lamps stand nearby on the red carpeted dais, with a carved stone arch and a gilded carved backdrop behind. The seated man's identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2016-08-28 +1 copiesFebruary 15 20132013-02-15A temple shrine scene with a gilded arch framing a deity murti pair, one figure crowned and holding a staff, the other in a blue and pink sari with a crown, both garlanded with yellow and red flower strings. In front, a golden swing-like bed holds a small white deity figure with a red cloth and garland. Three people in saffron-orange robes perform puja: one bends low over a brass plate of offerings, another in orange with white vibhuti marks on the forehead and a white and red garland stands holding a white cloth, and a third stands at right in orange robes. Brass lamps, kalasha pots, bells and small vessels fill the stone platform beneath a canopy of blue drapes and trees.2009-01-02A man seated on a gilded throne with red cushions, wearing a rust-red turban, red-brown robe, pink flower garland and rudraksha-style beads, holds his palms together in anjali on a stage. Beside him at the right, a young man with long dark hair and bare upper body wears an orange dhoti and stands at a golden peetha-like arch, facing a decorated deity murti garlanded in red, white, yellow and purple flowers, with brass oil lamps on each side. Carved stone pillars with lion motifs and a painted goddess figure with raised hands frame the stage, and a microphone stands on the red carpet.2016-08-28 +1 copiesAugust 29 20142014-08-29September 02 20162016-09-02A devotee in orange robes stands at left with hands folded in prayer, marked with white ash on the arms, beside brass oil lamps. Under a gilded arched shrine with blue drapes, a pair of deity murti sit enthroned, one in red and gold with a crown and garlands, the other in blue with a crown. Marigold and yellow flower garlands hang on the murtis and a kalasha-style pot is placed before them, with brass vessels and an oil lamp on the floor in front. A smaller figure in orange and red garlands sits at the foot of the shrine. A second orange-robed person kneels at the right edge. The scene suggests a puja at a temple shrine.2009-01-02
