Close-up photo of a priest's hand sprinkling dry powder or grains from the fingers over an offering tray during a ritual. The hand wears a gold bangle, and a thick orange-red cloth lies beside the tray. Behind the tray are several polished brass or copper kalasha pots with rounded bodies, and a small bowl holds red and orange offerings. A metal bowl sits at left on a dark surface, with a white cloth under the offerings. The background is blurred and dim, lit by warm lamplight. Only a hand and part of an arm are visible, so no full person can be counted.2011-10-01Close-up photo of a ritual scene at a temple altar. She holds a brass plate of grain in her left hand. Brass bowls and small cups sit on a striped cloth beside an open fire pit with bright flames. Blurred rows of seated people in white fill the background. Her red headwrap and dress and the grain are the focal colours against the dark background.
