A photograph of a ceremony in an outdoor courtyard. A central seated figure sits on an ornate gold throne with red velvet cushioning, wearing a red-orange sarong-style wrap, a rudraksha mala and a heavy gold necklace, with white paste smeared on the forehead, arms and chest. A younger attendant in an orange robe kneels beside the throne holding a metal tray of white powder. A young boy in a brown polo shirt bends forward, applying or receiving paste. Behind them stand several onlookers: a man in an orange shawl, a woman in a white dress with palms pressed together, a man in white dhoti-style clothing, and a woman in a yellow-trimmed white top.
