May 13 20152015-05-13A photograph of a ceremonial gathering in an orange-walled hall. A seated priest in white dhoti and shawl with a red-bordered cloth, shaved head, gold necklace and sandalwood tilak, extends his arm toward women with cupped hands. The women, one in a maroon shawl and one in orange, hold their palms out to receive something. Nearby a person in white bows low with hands on an orange cloth, and other devotees in white with yellow shawls stand behind. Gold-trimmed throne-like seat and scattered petals are visible. No identity cues establish the seated priest as a person, so he is described only by role.2010-08-11Outdoor ceremony with several devotees in saffron and rust-red robes and rudraksha malas. A smiling woman in a rust-red sari and beaded mala applies a sacred mark or vibhuti to the forehead of a blonde woman in a white and gold-bordered sari seen from behind. Nearby, a young man in orange cloth and mala holds a small green dish, another man in orange holds a bowl, and a kalasha-like brass vessel with a green leafy sprig and decorative ornaments is in the foreground. Spectators stand behind in white and orange garments. Some devotees have white tilak on their foreheads, and a sound system sits at the right edge.2015-05-13November 16 20152015-11-16June 19 20142014-06-19 +1 copiesDecember 23 20092009-12-23March 11 20172017-03-11 +1 copiesOutdoor photo of devotees standing in a line under a leafy green tree canopy with hanging vines. Several people in white dhoti or white kurta clothing with gold-bordered cloth and rudraksha malas stand with hands pressed in anjali mudra. A bald man in a white dhoti with gold border and a backpack stands at left beside a brass oil lamp, and a person in orange robe is at the far left. Another man in white with long hair and beard stands centre-right with palms joined. A woman in white with gold border and rudraksha mala stands with eyes closed, and another woman on the right wears a white shawl and mala. The setting looks like a garden path with a stone-paved walkway.2017-06-17December 23 20162016-12-23July 04 20142014-07-04 +1 copiesOutdoor procession of devotees ascending red-painted stone steps under a light grey sky. Under an orange umbrella held by a man on the far left, a smiling young man in a red-orange dhoti and matching shawl with a gold-bordered cloth and gold necklace walks at centre with palms pressed together. Men in white dhotis with gold or maroon borders, some with bare upper bodies and rudraksha malas, walk beside him; one carries a brass vessel and another a tray of flowers and offerings. A woman in white with a red border and a woman in a green sari stand behind with hands folded in namaste, and a pink-patterned umbrella is visible. The scene suggests a ritual procession, possibly leading to a water-side or temple site.2011-07-16February 13 20132013-02-13 +1 copies
