The feet are wearing silver-toned padukas or sandals with a raised knob between the toes, and are decorated with red roses, white jasmine blossoms and scattered petals. Orange saffron robes are visible at the top edge of the frame, and the stone floor is grey. The feet are being honoured in a padapuja style ritual with flowers and paste, though no face is shown and no person can be identified.January 02 20162016-01-02August 07 20102010-08-07Close photograph of a pair of bare feet resting on a gold-rimmed brass plate filled with red roses, yellow marigold petals and a gold bead garland. The feet belong to a person wearing a rust-brown garment with gold-thread border. Brass and silver ritual vessels sit in the background. The feet belong to a person wearing a red and gold-bordered ceremonial garment, with a shimmering gold border, and a silver-toned ornate ritual implement rests behind them. A hand with a ring appears at the top edge. The setting suggests a padapuja, a ritual washing or honouring of the feet, with flowers and a dish of offerings. No face is visible, so the identity of the person cannot be determined from the image.2014-05-21December 26 20112011-12-26
