A single oil lamp flame burns on the lingam's top, and a small loose garland of white and yellow flowers lies on the floor below. Weathered tree roots arch over the stone walls.2013-02-01Close photo of a ceremonial offering: a flame burns on a leaf-lined tray held by a hand at lower left, in front of a seated figure draped in a white and red-bordered shawl with a gold-patterned edge. The figure wears white and pink flower garlands and a dark bead mala across the chest. Yellow and pink flowers decorate the background, and a dark cloth with orange circular motifs sits behind. The scene suggests aarti or an offering with camphor-like flame; no person's face is visible and no appearance-based candidate is clearly identifiable.2012-05-18A close photo of a ritual arati with a brass oil lamp held in a hand at left, its flame bright and smoky. Behind it a deity murti or sacred object is draped in a white cloth with red and gold borders and decorated with white jasmine garlands, pink and yellow flowers, green leaves and a rudraksha mala. Offerings of leaves and flowers rest in front, with a small round yellow object visible on the figure. No clearly identifiable person's face is shown; only hands and the draped form appear.2012-05-18May 20 20132013-05-20
