Four women stand smiling in front of a golden deity shrine in a yellow-walled temple room, decorated with marigold and red flower garlands. Two women on the left wear red and grey-silver saris; the two on the right wear orange and magenta silk saris. A central golden throne holds a standing goddess murti in red adornment with a silver crown, flanked by smaller deity figures. Brass oil lamps hang above and a red-and-yellow flower-decorated altar sits in the foreground, with a small deity image wrapped in green in the left corner.

A photo inside a temple shrine room with red carpet and gold-trimmed walls. Four people stand in a row with palms pressed together in anjali mudra: an older man in a blue t-shirt and shorts, a man in a cream shirt and shorts, a woman in a teal top and black trousers, and a woman in a black patterned blouse and jeans. Standing in front, a bare-chested man with long hair and glasses wears an off-white dhoti with an orange border and a brown shawl across his shoulders, holding a brass lamp with flowers and a small camphor plate, as in an aarti. Behind them are dark-skinned deity murti garlanded with multicoloured flower garlands, a gold-framed arch, and a table with orange cloth holding fruit and a bowl of offerings.

A group of seven people stands in front of a golden deity murti seated on a red-draped throne with a crown, garlands and a golden arch behind. A shaved-headed man on the far left, bare-chested in white dhoti with a sacred thread, presses palms together. Next to him a woman in a yellow and red sari, then a woman in a cream sari holding up a printed paper, a woman in white with a shawl, a woman in a blue top and yellow dhoti at the back, a woman in a grey-and-white sari with palms joined, and an older woman in white with a gold-bordered sari and palms joined. Before the deity are brass plates with fruits, flowers, betel leaves and lamps on a green cloth, a small brass vessel with yellow flowers, and a sign reading KAILASA SAN JOSE, USA. No candidate for a person is visible in person, so the field stays none. This is an offering ritual setting.
