Around them, men in white shirts and orange sashes and women in white and saffron walk close together, some with rudraksha malas. Ornate red, yellow and blue parasols with tasselled fringes rise above the crowd, and white banners and buses line the road behind. An older woman with a long grey braid and others press in from the foreground. The scene reads as a ratha paada yatra procession through a town street.2009-01-21June 29 20142014-06-29June 24 20142014-06-24 +2 copiesA dense outdoor crowd gathers on a roadside in daylight.
