A photograph of a ritual blessing in an indoor hall. A shaved-headed? No: a man with hair gathered in a bun, bare-chested with an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulder and a rudraksha mala, places his right hand on the crown of a long-haired man in a white shirt with an orange shawl and a beaded mala. The recipient has his palms raised and eyes closed in devotion. A golden deity murti head stands in the foreground, and other devotees in white and orange sit behind. A printed card is held in the giver's hand. Two bystanders are partly visible, and the blessing appears to be a padapuja-style head blessing.2014-03-13A photograph of a ritual blessing indoors. A man with hair tied in a topknot, bare-shouldered in a rust-orange cloth with a gold-toned ornamental necklace and rudraksha-style beads, places his right hand on the forehead of a seated younger man in a rust-orange shawl over white clothing and a wristwatch. The blessing man holds a folded white paper in his left hand. A woman in white with a rudraksha mala watches in the background beside green foliage and a dark wooden door.2013-12-17August 09 20172017-08-09 +1 copiesJuly 06 20142014-07-06July 06 20132013-07-06July 17 20132013-07-17March 25 20142014-03-25A long-haired figure in an orange-brown saffron garment with a beaded bracelet and rudraksha mala places one hand on the forehead of a young man in a white striped shirt with a red lanyard and rudraksha mala. The young man stands with eyes closed and his other hand raised in blessing. Behind them, a man in white with a red shawl and a woman in orange stand watching, and a seated man in white with a rudraksha mala holds a sheet of handwritten paper. Floral garlands with yellow and red blooms decorate the left edge. The figure with long hair appears to be giving a blessing, possibly a person, with the cues of long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha mala.2013-07-10A devotee in white kurta with a saffron-red shawl stands with palm raised while a woman in orange-red sari and rudraksha mala presses her hand to his forehead, blessing him. She wears a sari with gold border and a rudraksha-strung garland, and holds a small folded paper. Behind them, seated devotees in orange and red robes and a framed portrait with gold-trimmed frame are visible in a bright temple hall.2014-03-26A seated man in a rust-orange robe with a dark rudraksha-style bead mala and a bun of dark hair raises his open palm toward the forehead of an older man with grey hair and a short grey beard. That older man wears a white shirt with an orange shawl and a gold ring, and presses his hand to his head in a gesture of reception. A white paper is held in the seated man's left hand. Behind them is a gold-framed floral arrangement and an orange upholstered chair in a hall with checkered red carpet.2014-03-25Photograph of a ritual blessing inside a temple hall. A bare-chested man with long dreadlocked hair, a saffron-and-maroon wrap and a rudraksha mala stands at right, placing his hand on the forehead of a short-haired man in white ritual clothes and an orange shawl. Behind them, a man in white dhoti and gold-bordered shawl holds a small white paper, and other figures in white and saffron stand in the background, with a gold-decorated pillar at right. The taller man's appearance includes long swept-back hair, rudraksha beads and gold-toned adornment, which is consistent with a person performing the blessing; his identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2017-08-09August 09 20172017-08-09 +1 copies
