Ahead, an ornately decorated palanquin or ratha glows with lights and is draped in colourful striped and patterned cloth, with a central figure framed by garlands and flowers. Several people in white and cream clothing walk beside the structure, some in saffron-orange garments, and a yellow umbrella appears at the right. A portrait banner with an orange-robed figure stands at left near a street lamp, and the scene is lit by the warm glow of the decorated carriage.2010-11-19February 09 20172017-02-09Night procession outdoors with a decorated palanquin or ratha behind a central figure. A man with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron robe, a leopard-print shawl over the shoulders and a long rudraksha mala, and smiles toward the camera; the swamiji-appearance cues are distinctive, so this is a probable Swamiji in person. Behind him a deity murti sits within the shrine, garlanded with marigolds and red flowers, framed by red, blue and gold painted pillars. Around him stand white-clad men in dhotis and orange-clad attendants, one holding a large ceremonial fan. A woman with a tilak and a young person in orange appear at the edges. Ambient streetlights and a large round lamp light the scene.2010-11-19February 17 20162016-02-17December 05 20112011-12-05Night procession at a temple-style event. A man in a dark maroon robe with a rose-pink garland and gold necklace stands at center, a large embroidered umbrella with blue, yellow, red and white fringe held over him by a man in white. Flanking him, several people in orange-saffron robes hold silver staffs and a lantern, and a woman in a grey sari stands among onlookers. Behind them, a brightly illuminated multi-tiered chariot or shrine glows with green and white lights under the night sky. A wall of greenery is visible at the right edge.2017-02-09November 18 20102010-11-18A night procession moves along a dirt road lit by small handheld flames. A decorated palanquin-style chariot, bright with lights and a red-and-gold deity murti under an illuminated canopy, is carried at the center. Men in white dhotis and orange-saffron cloths walk near the carriage, some holding long ceremonial staffs and oil lamps. A red umbrella is raised over the procession, and onlookers in darker clothing stand at the right edge. A palm-lined street and small buildings frame the scene in darkness.2010-11-19Night procession at a temple-like setting. A man in a maroon-brown robe, long dark hair and beard, wearing a pink flower garland and a gold pendant, walks forward holding a long ceremonial staff. Behind him, a crowd of women in orange saris with rudraksha malas and forehead markings walks alongside. A man in white dhoti with orange-marked body and an orange-clad attendant carry staffs on the left. Overhead, a multicoloured canopy and pink and blue umbrellas shade the procession. A lit, ornate chariot or shrine with golden tiers glows in the background, and onlookers in pink and orange saris watch from the right.2017-02-09
