A photograph of a temple procession at the steps of an orange-walled building. A man in saffron robes and a white and red flower garland, with gold beaded necklaces and a rudraksha-style bead mala, walks forward smiling. A monk in saffron robes beside him holds a tall silver staff. Behind them, a woman in white with a yellow shawl and a girl in yellow stand near a dark stone deity murti. On the right, a man in white dhoti and shirt stands with palms pressed together. A young boy in an orange t-shirt walks in front. Red-and-white painted steps and a small plant complete the scene.2010-07-26A photograph of a procession on stone steps. In the centre, a figure with long dark swept-back hair wears a saffron-orange robe, a multi-strand rudraksha mala and a large white and multicoloured flower garland, with a red tilak on the forehead; he appears to be the honoured figure of the procession, and the appearance cues are not conclusive enough to confirm identity, so this is set as unsure. Around him, attendants in white dhotis and orange shawls walk alongside; one on the left holds a tall wooden staff or pole, and others behind carry orange and white items. Men and women in white and pastel saris stand in the background, including a young child in an orange outfit. The setting is an outdoor temple-style courtyard with a white and red-striped platform edge and sandy ground.2007-12-24July 26 20102010-07-26December 26 20072007-12-26December 24 20082008-12-24Photograph of a crowd of devotees on white and red striped temple steps. Around him, men in white kurtas and white dhotis, several with orange shawls and red headbands, stand and crouch; one man in white bends low at the lower left. Behind them stand more men in white shirts and dhotis, some with rudraksha malas, beneath hanging green leaves and a golden trident.2007-12-25A procession on a paved courtyard during a temple event. A central figure in saffron-orange robes with a long white and red flower garland and gold beaded necklace walks barefoot, with a visible bindi and long dark hair swept back. Behind him, men in white dhotis and kurtas carry a tall yellow-wrapped staff and a kalasha-like vessel with greenery; a man in orange robes holds a small phone. A bald man in white kurta stands at left, and a child in a pink shirt with a rudraksha-style mala folds hands at right. An orange-brick wall and a striped banner form the background, with a palm plant nearby.2010-07-26Outdoor temple procession at a stone step entrance decorated with multicoloured flower garlands and a fringed canopy. A central man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, wearing a long gold necklace with a large gold pendant and a red tilak, walks forward smiling; his long dark hair falls past his shoulders. Around him, devotees in white dhotis and saffron shawls hold a tall golden staff and silver trident-topped rods (tridents). A man on the right in white kurta and dhoti with a saffron shawl and rudraksha mala holds a silver staff. Women in white saris stand with hands folded in namaste along the right side.2007-12-23A photograph of a saffron-robed man with long swept-back dark hair and a white-and-gold flower garland around his neck, standing barefoot on a grey floor beside a red carpet scattered with petals. He smiles and holds his hands together at his chest. Behind him a line of women in white, yellow and orange saris and salwar kameez stand with hands folded in greeting. At right, a shaven-headed man in orange robes and rudraksha mala stands with hands clasped. An orange wall, a blue sign reading Silence please, and a framed picture hang in the background. Swamiji (probable): the robed man with long hair and garland fits the candidate's presentation, with the cues of long hair, saffron clothing and garland.2010-07-21December 18 20092009-12-18December 23 20092009-12-23December 24 20092009-12-24
