ADIKAILASA on 1/3/20222022-01-03A photograph of two bare-chested men in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls standing on either side of a decorated seat draped in orange cloth and a green cover, holding the ends of an orange sash as part of a Tulabharam ceremony. Both wear rudraksha malas and white forehead markings. The seat is ornate with red, blue and gold embroidered panels, and a red-and-gold canopy hangs above. A caption reads Tulabharam, Nithyanandotsavam 2021, Day 10. The men appear to be devotees or priests assisting the ritual.2021-12-28A photograph of a Tulabharam ceremony at a temple event, with a standing person seen from behind wearing an orange saffron turban and an orange shawl draped over bare shoulders, with beaded bracelets on the arm. The person is weighing against a large ornate golden swing-like frame with red-and-blue jeweled embroidery and a red velvet-covered rope. Below, a pink and gold cushion is set on a golden tray, and blue draped cloth forms the backdrop. The scene is a sacred weighing ritual, with the figure and offerings positioned at the frame.2021-12-28ADIKAILASA on 1/3/20222022-01-03August 12 20172017-08-12 +1 copiesIndoor temple scene with a black Shiva lingam on a round stone yoni base at left. A man in orange robes with a shawl draped over his head and a gold garland stands at center, one hand resting on another man's shoulder. That second man wears orange robes with maroon-edged borders, a white flower garland, and long dark hair, and is bending forward toward the lingam. Another person in orange robes stands at the right edge, partly cropped, and a red curtain hangs behind. Several heads are visible in the lower foreground, and a small purple-and-gold cloth hangs at far left. Appearance does not clearly confirm a candidate for a person, so roles are used.2009-12-16A photograph of two men in saffron-orange robes on a stage with dark blue draped curtains and yellow flowers at the edge. The man on the left, shaved-headed with a red tilak on his forehead, holds a silver tray with a small golden deity murti or kalasha-like object, flowers and white petals. The man on the right, with long dark swept-back hair and wrapped in orange cloth, bows his head forward and touches the tray with his hand in reverence, as in a padapuja or darshan gesture. The bowing figure shows distinctive long hair and saffron clothing, but his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance, so he is described by role only.2010-01-28Two men in saffron-orange ceremonial dress stand before a shrine niche lit by a glowing orange arch of bulbs. The man on the right, seen from behind with bare shoulders and a saffron dhoti with gold borders, bends toward a gilded altar holding pink flowers, silver bowls and a gold ornamental piece. The man on the left wears an orange wrap with gold bands, a gold necklace, a rudraksha-bead armlet and a beaded headband, and stands with hands clasped, watching. A white cloth lies on the stone counter, and a patterned mat covers the floor. The scene reads as a temple puja.2012-05-13 +2 copiesADIKAILASA on 1/3/20222022-01-03February 24 20172017-02-24AUGUST 30 20212021-08-30August 13 20172017-08-13 +1 copies
