He extends his arm while a devotee in a white dhoti works at his wrist with a thread. Behind him, women in white saris with gold borders and rudraksha malas, and women in orange, watch and tie threads with their hands. Ornate gold carved panels and a red curtain frame the scene. The man is an appearance-based candidate for Swamiji (probable), identified by the long swept-back hair, ornate gold jewellery and orange shawl, and seated in a ceremonial throne. A white-clothed devotee in the foreground holds a thread, and the ceremony is a thread-tying blessing.2017-07-28July 28 20172017-07-28 +1 copiesJune 19 20162016-06-19July 28 20172017-07-28January 04 20162016-01-04September 10 20172017-09-10Photo of a ceremony in a decorated hall. A man seated on an ornate silver throne with a leopard-print cushion, wearing a saffron-orange robe, a pink and white flower garland, a gold necklace and a rudraksha mala, holds a silver trident and places his hand on the head of a young boy who bends forward with a rudraksha mala draped over him. Standing nearby are a woman in a rust-brown sari with a rudraksha mala and a small notebook, several children in white dhotis or pavadas with gold borders with hands folded in prayer, and a devotee in white at the right holding an orange cloth. Behind the throne is a backdrop of a red temple gopuram, and a decorated deity murti garlanded with flowers stands at the upper left.2017-09-30May 11 20162016-05-11A photo on a stage with gold-toned temple decor and an ornate silver backdrop. A seated man in rust-red robes, rudraksha malas, a gold necklace, a leopard-print turban and a bead bracelet sits on a magenta cushioned seat, placing his hand on the head of a boy. The boy wears a white dhoti and is bare-chested, with a white thread across his shoulder. A woman in an orange wrap and white markings on her arms and shoulders holds the boy's arm and steadies him. A plausible Swamiji (probable) is the seated figure, given his distinctive rudraksha mala, ornate gold necklace and turban; he is shown blessing the boy.2017-12-10June 19 20162016-06-19
