At the centre, a man in an orange-red shawl and dhoti, wearing a gold crown and a gold pendant on a beaded necklace, walks forward smiling; the visible cues are the crown, the saffron-coloured clothing and the ornate gold necklace, so he is a probable Swamiji. Around him, men in saffron-orange robes wear rudraksha malas, and a man in white dhoti with gold border and a red-beaded mala walks at left. Yellow and green hanging lamps frame the passage, and a wire mesh grille lines the right side. Overall this is a temple procession among devotees and sannyasis.2012-05-07July 04 20142014-07-04 +1 copiesMay 18 20122012-05-18A photograph of a long hall with a red carpet runway and a corrugated metal roof, where a row of priests in saffron-orange dhotis with gold borders stand with palms pressed together in namaskar. Their bare shoulders bear rudraksha and gold-bead malas, and they wear white tilak and white forehead markings. Several men in white dhotis stand behind them, and a row of spectators is visible at the far left. A framed photograph hangs on the wall and a loudspeaker is mounted near the ceiling. The page describes a Maha Parashivaratri satsang, but no single figure can be confidently identified from appearance, so the a person field is unsure.2013-03-10A photograph in a narrow interior hallway of a house, with a wooden door and gold-trimmed doorframe behind. A smiling man with long dark hair, wearing a rust-red garment with gold border, a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace, walks at the centre; a probable Swamiji candidate by appearance and role. Beside him a shaved-headed monk in orange robes with a white forehead mark and rudraksha beads, and on the left a shaved-headed attendant in white and gold cloth. Behind them stand men in white shirts, and an orange-clad figure with beads is seen from the back at lower left. On the right a seated man in an olive shirt watches, and a metal tray is visible at lower right. A framed deity picture hangs on the back wall.2014-06-22A narrow alley lined with cream-coloured walls and yellow-green banana-leaf decorations hung overhead leads a procession toward the camera. In the foreground, a man in a floral white and red garland walks with eyes lowered, wearing saffron-orange robes, a rudraksha mala, and a tilak on his forehead. Beside him, a bald man in orange robes and beaded necklaces raises one hand in greeting. Behind them, several saffron-robed men with malas and a few men in white shirts and dhotis follow along a path strewn with petals. A uniformed police officer stands at the right edge. The scene suggests a devotee procession moving through a town street.2014-07-04 +1 copiesMay 07 20122012-05-07Procession through a temple corridor with yellow walls and a dark tiled floor, sunlight falling through an archway. A saffron-clad man with rudraksha malas, a gold pendant and a sacred ash/kumkum mark leads, flanked by sannyasis in orange robes with gold borders. Behind them, a man holds a long ceremonial umbrella above, and another carries a flaming lamp on a long handle.
