A woman in a white saree with a coloured border reaches to press a mark onto the forehead of a person in a rust-red robe with gold border, wearing a rudraksha mala and ear ornaments. Other women in rust-red and white garments stand behind, several with tilak marks, and a red curtain hangs in the background. Multiple people are visible, and the scene appears to be a blessing or tilak application.2013-11-17Indoor event photograph at a decorated stage with gold and white garland drapery, a red curtain, and painted panels with elephant motifs. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes, bare-shouldered with a sash, reaches toward a woman in a green-and-gold sari who holds her hands together in namaste while a shaved-headed monk in saffron wears a gold necklace beside them. Behind them, a man in orange with a red shawl and a woman in white stand nearby, and a woman in blue sits in the lower foreground. A table of flowers and a fan are visible at right.2008-07-17A photograph of an indoor ashram hall with hanging tassel decorations in red, yellow and blue. In the foreground, a woman in a rust-red sari with a gold border and a black beaded mala necklace smiles as she applies a pale paste to the forehead of a young woman in an orange sari with a pink border, whose hair is tied in a bun with a clip. The woman in red holds a small white bowl or cup in her other hand. Behind them, several women in orange and red saris stand and sit, and seated devotees in white and orange sit on mats along the right side of the hall. The scene suggests a ritual or blessing gathering, with a sign of a dove-like logo at the top left corner.2013-11-10 +1 copiesNovember 17 20132013-11-17 +1 copiesApril 28 20172017-04-28A seated woman in a maroon sari and a thick garland of yellow and pink flowers reaches out to bless a kneeling woman in a white sari with a gold border, her hands resting on the devotee's head. The devotee wears glasses, gold bangles and a braid, and has her eyes closed as she bows forward. Behind them, a standing man in white kurta with a rudraksha mala watches, and a photographer with a camera is visible. Gold ornate chairs, bananas on a tray, and a staircase with onlookers fill the background. A small ritual offering sits near the devotee's hands.2014-06-28 +1 copiesA photograph of a healing or blessing exchange at an indoor event. On the right, a man with long dark hair and an orange-yellow shawl over his shoulders reaches forward and offers a small yellow flower to a young girl in a pink top, who holds out her cupped hands. Beside her, a boy in a pink shirt leans in with his hands raised. Behind them, a man in a white shirt and a man in an orange robe stand watching, and a white table holds small items. The scene is bright and slightly overexposed. The right-side figure matches the page's Swamiji reference by long hair and orange shawl, so he is a probable Swamiji candidate present in person.2008-03-04A photograph of a ceremonial initiation. A man in a dark turban with a red-orange shawl draped over his bare shoulder, a pink and white flower garland, a rudraksha-style necklace and gold bangles touches the forehead of a young man in glasses and a white shirt with his right hand. A sacred mark is visible on the officiant's forehead. Behind them are colourful flower garlands, a red cloth and a decorated altar with a bronze-toned deity murti. A woman in white with gold jewellery and a dark-haired woman in the foreground are partially visible. The scene suggests a Shiva Deeksha-style initiation with an officiant blessing a disciple.2018-04-20 +1 copiesNovember 19 20182018-11-19Photo 11703140
