Photograph inside a temple-like hall of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-head armrests, a white and striped cushion, and a floral garland of red, yellow and purple flowers behind. The seated figure wears saffron/orange robes, a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace, with long swept-back hair and a tilak; a person candidate by these cues, presented on the throne as the central figure. A bald man in saffron robes with a tattoo on his arm stands at left, holding a ritual implement toward a kneeling man in white clothes who bends forward at the throne. Women in red-and-gold-bordered saffron saris with rudraksha malas stand at right, one with folded hands in namaskar and one with a white tilak, and another woman stands behind the throne in orange. A ceremonial staff or trident-like rod stands beside the throne.2013-03-10March 10 20132013-03-10November 10 20152015-11-10A photograph inside a decorated temple hall during a Guru Purnima satsang. A man with shoulder-length hair, wearing a rust-red shawl, a rudraksha mala and a white flower garland, sits smiling on a golden throne-like seat draped in yellow cloth and covered in marigold and red-and-yellow flower garlands. Before him, a woman in a white sari with a long braid bows with folded hands, and a woman in a white sari with a red-orange shawl and a rudraksha mala kneels nearby. A bald priest in an orange-brown dhoti and rudraksha mala stands at left beside a standing man in white with a rudraksha mala. Golden lion-figure ornaments and a gilded pillar frame the scene, with a fan and white walls in the background.2015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31March 10 20132013-03-10December 23 20162016-12-23A photograph of a ceremonial hall during a satsang. A seated figure in the centre wears an orange-saffron robe with a gold-bordered shawl, a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace, and sits on a gold throne (peetha) before a large floral backdrop of marigolds and rose petals. A shaved-headed man in orange robes and a white forehead marking stands in the foreground, while other orange-clad sannyasis stand nearby. Several men in white dhotis and shirts and girls in pink, light blue and white salwar kameez stand in line on a red carpet, some with their hands folded. The seated figure matches the appearance cues of a person (long dark hair, saffron robe, rudraksha mala, gold necklace), so this is a probable in-person candidate; the standing sannyasis and devotees are identified by role only.2013-03-10July 31 20152015-07-31Devotees in white and floral clothing press together with hands folded in namaskar before a seated figure on a gold-and-red throne. The seated person wears orange robes, a multi-strand gold necklace, a red bindi and long dark hair, and is smiling while touching an orange cloth. Beside them, a bald man in orange robes and gold necklaces stands with a hand raised near his chin, and another man in an orange shawl stands behind. Ornate gold carving and decorative textiles frame the throne. The scene suggests darshan in a temple or hall setting. Appearance-based label: a person, seated on the throne with orange robes and layered gold necklaces, as a recipient of devotee reverence.2008-07-17A photograph of a ceremonial satsang on a red-carpeted stage in front of a floral garland backdrop of red, yellow and purple flowers. A figure with long dark hair, a white forehead mark, orange clothing and beaded necklaces stands on a gold-and-cream throne, arms folded. Around him, devotees in saffron and orange robes with gold borders and white-clad devotees stand in a line, some with hands folded in namaskar. A man in an orange dhoti and shawl holds a trident-topped staff near the throne, a devotee in white kneels before the throne, and a camera is mounted at the upper right. Swamiji (probable): the figure on the throne has long swept-back hair, orange clothing and beaded necklaces, with his arms folded.2013-03-10
