July 19 20152015-07-19A close photograph of a woman in a teal and maroon blouse with a floral-embroidered garment bending forward to touch her forehead to bare feet resting on a red velvet cushion. The feet belong to a person in an orange robe with a gold-bordered edge. The scene suggests a respectful padapuja or foot-touching gesture of devotion, with the robed person seated and the woman bowed low.2015-07-19A photograph of a devotee in a grey and white checked shirt bowing deeply with palms pressed together, his forehead lowered toward the feet of a seated figure. The seated person wears an orange-saffron robe with yellow trim and a red and white floral garland at the shoulder, and their bare feet are visible at the lower right. A reddish cloth-covered seat and a second bare foot are visible at the bottom of the frame, with a dark wooden surface and floral fabric behind. The devotee's bowed posture suggests padapuja-style reverence, but the seated figure's face is not visible and no clear appearance-based identification is made.2015-07-19Close-up photo of a man with grey, short-cropped hair bowing his head to touch the bare foot of a person in saffron-orange clothing. The bowing man wears a white shirt and a gold ring on his right hand, which rests on the floor near the foot. The person in orange wears a saffron-orange garment and only their lower leg and foot are visible. The background is a plain white tiled floor. This is an act of pranam or padapuja-style reverence in an ashram setting.2013-01-05July 19 20152015-07-19 +1 copiesOctober 08 20062006-10-08Close-up photo of a padapuja ritual: a man in orange-saffron dhoti with white border and red sacred thread on his wrist kneels and washes or anoints the bare foot of a seated person draped in a rust-red garment with gold border. Only the feet, hands and garments are visible, so no face or identity can be determined; the seated person's role is not shown.2015-09-05Close-up photograph of bare feet resting on a red cushion, seated on a golden ornate tray with flower petals scattered around. The person wears orange saffron cloth draped over the legs, and a second person in white with a rudraksha mala is visible at the upper left beside a golden bowl. Petals dot the cushion and tray.2009-07-07A close photograph of a young girl with short dark hair and a white embroidered top bowing forward to touch the bare feet of a seated figure. The figure wears an orange and maroon garment and sits on a red cushion, with a brass-edged low platform beneath. The girl's hands rest on the feet in a gesture of reverence, a padapuja-style act of devotion. Only the feet and lower garment of the seated person are visible. The visible person is partially shown; no face or distinctive headwear is visible, so the seated figure's identity cannot be established from the image.2006-10-21July 31 20152015-07-31July 19 20152015-07-19 +1 copiesJuly 31 20152015-07-31
