April 04 20082008-04-04Night photograph of a group walking along a dirt path lit by a street lamp, passing a leafy tree and a white wall. In the centre, a woman in a saffron-orange robe with a beaded necklace walks among devotees dressed in white dhotis and shirts with orange shawls. At the far right, a man in white raises one arm. Their footwear is bare or minimal. The scene resembles a devotional procession or walk, with no visible deity or ritual objects.2008-08-02Evening scene on a dirt path beside a leafy mango tree at dusk. A woman in an orange sleeveless robe walks in front with her hands clasped and eyes closed, followed by a man in white dhoti and shirt. To the right, a person in orange robes with a rudraksha mala walks alongside a man in a white shirt and grey trousers, with another man in white further back. Dark trees fill the background.2009-01-08A night-time photograph on a dirt road lit only faintly by a roadside light on a pole at left. On the right foreground, a man in saffron-orange robes and a saffron turban walks in profile, wearing rudraksha beads and orange sandals, with a shadow cast on the ground. Behind him, a line of four to five people in white dhotis and white clothing, some with orange shawls over their shoulders, walks in the same direction. The scene is dark and dusty, with dark shrubs at the right edge.2008-11-11Night photograph of a walking procession along a dirt path beside a red-and-white painted low wall. In front, a man in an orange saffron shawl and orange cloth, with long swept-back hair and a bare-chested upper body, walks forward. Behind him, two men in white kurta-style clothes with orange shawls walk; one holds a small torch or light. A man in white with an orange shawl is partly visible at the right edge. Dark trees and bushes fill the background. The front figure has distinctive long hair and saffron clothing, but the image is dark and blurred, so the identity is uncertain.2006-12-10July 24 20052005-07-24Four men walk single file along a narrow dirt path lined with green shrubs, bamboo and trees, with a small white building with a corrugated metal roof on the left. The man in front wears white kurta and trousers with an orange shawl and carries a slim stick. Behind him two men wear white shirts with orange shawls, and one has a lanyard around his neck. At the far right, a figure with long, swept-back dark hair wears a full orange-saffron robe and sandals and carries a walking stick, with a distinctive long hairstyle that matches the page's reference to a person; this is an appearance-based probable identification only. Lush trees and a pale sky appear in the background.2006-10-07Night photo of a procession on a reddish dirt path through dark trees. A central figure in a long orange-saffron shawl walks barefoot toward the camera. Behind him, a man in white dhoti and orange shawl holds a lit lamp, and another man in white dhoti and orange shawl carries a red-cushioned tray or palanquin topped with a golden kalasha-like finial. A third figure in white walks at the rear. Lush foliage frames the scene.2006-12-10Night photo on a dirt path beside a low stone wall and whitewashed step wall, with a leafy tree branch at upper left. A red bucket and water pipes sit at lower left.2006-12-11A night photograph of a barefoot procession walking along a dirt path lined with leafy trees. In the foreground, a man in a saffron-orange robe and an orange turban leads, wearing a beaded necklace and carrying a garland-like rope; beside him a second man in a saffron-orange robe with a shaved head walks, with a few white-clad devotees and others behind them. The scene is dimly lit, with trees overhanging the path and warm light glowing from the background.2006-01-01Night photo on a dirt path lined with palm fronds, with a low building at left. Seven men walk toward the camera. The central figure wears an orange-saffron robe and an orange turban, and holds a folded card or paper. Beside him, a man in a red-and-maroon shawl holds a paper. A man in a red checked shirt and light trousers walks near the middle, and two men in white dhotis and white shirts walk at right, one holding a folded red-gold cloth. A man in a white dhoti and orange shawl and another in a green shirt walk at left, one carrying a small bag. The procession suggests a temple walk, with ritual dress and cloths visible, and the setting is a rural path after dark.2006-12-20October 10 20112011-10-10
