A photograph of a shaved-headed man in white ritual dhoti and shawl with a red-and-gold border, wearing a thick gold bead necklace and a red tilak on his forehead. He holds a silver tray with folded orange and yellow cloths and eyes lowered in devotion. Beside him a young woman in an orange shawl sits in the background and a woman in a yellow sari sits at right. The setting is a red-and-white striped hall with a polished floor. Identity is not established by appearance here, so he is described by role only.

A photograph of an orange-walled building with a black signboard listing names beside an entrance. In the centre, a man with long dark swept-back hair wears an orange shawl over orange clothing and rudraksha beads, smiling as he walks forward. Two men in white dhotis and white shirts stand to the right: the one in the middle holds a brass kalasha with an orange cloth, and the one on the right, with a yellow shawl, holds a silver plate of flower petals. A woman in white with dark hair stands at left, and a few more people in white are visible behind, some in white saris. Steps, a red railing and potted plants frame the scene. a person: the central figure's long swept hair and orange shawl are cues, but the depiction is in person and the identification rests on appearance alone.

A photograph of a temple ritual with devotees in white. A seated priest with a shaved head, gold necklace and red-bordered white cloth holds out a small offering of white flowers to a kneeling woman in white with a yellow shawl and a green-bordered blouse, who cups her hands to receive it. Behind her, another woman in white with a yellow shawl and a man in white with a rudraksha-style pendant look on. Orange floor mats cover the ground, with more devotees in white and yellow standing and kneeling in the background, beside orange and red walls.

A photograph of a ritual scene indoors with orange-painted walls and a doorway. In the foreground, a seated man with a shaved head wears a white dhoti with a red-bordered cloth and a gold chain, and extends his hand toward a woman kneeling in white with a yellow shawl. Beside her, another woman in white with a long braid bows low with her hands folded. A man in white with a dark rudraksha-style pendant necklace stands between them, holding something small in his hands. Behind them, several people in white clothing and yellow or orange shawls stand and sit, and a cameraman in white holds a video camera at the upper right. The setting suggests a ceremonial initiation or puja.

A photograph of a ritual exchange on a pillared veranda with pink columns and a teal-framed window. In the foreground, a figure seen from behind wears a saffron-orange robe with a maroon border, their bare back visible and dark hair with a gold ornament. Facing them, a smiling man in white kurta and dhoti with glasses and a red tilak holds a silver tray covered with an orange-and-gold cloth, while a woman in a white silk sari with pearl necklace and gold bangles reaches to take it. Behind them stand a man with white hair, a young man in white, and a woman in an orange sari. No readable event or deity is visible, so the scene is recorded as a plain ritual offering.
