The tent has a teal fabric wall with a red and gold patterned border and a corrugated metal panel at left. In the foreground a bald man in orange with glasses and a rudraksha mala sits with hands folded, and an older man in orange with a pink turban sits at right. Other orange-clad people sit further back. Beside him, another monk in glasses wears a rudraksha mala and saffron robes, and others further down wear orange turbans. Water bottles, small steel bowls, and scattered marigold petals lie on the cloth, with orange bunting strung across the tent ceiling. Several plates hold rotis, rice, curries and sweets. The man on the far left has a hand to his face, another in the centre gestures with an open hand, and others look on, with white tilak lines and rudraksha or gold necklaces. A carved wooden chair stands at the right, and a woman in a blue sari appears at the left edge. Behind them are white walls and steps.2011-03-05A photograph of five saffron-robed sannyasis seated cross-legged on a white tiled floor, eating from banana leaves set before them with steel tumblers of water. Each wears orange cloth and rudraksha malas, and several have white sacred markings on their arms and foreheads. Behind them is a carved wooden stand, and a standing figure in white dhoti and shawl with a folded cloth stands at the right edge holding a garland. Prasad-style food including rice, vadas and sweets is served on leaves. The walls are white and a grey notice is on the wall beside a doorway. The visible identity cues on the seated men are not distinctive enough to attribute to any named person.2011-03-05A row of saffron-robed sannyasis sit cross-legged on a white floor, eating a meal served on fresh green banana leaves. The men wear orange cloths, rudraksha mala necklaces, bangles and white horizontal tilaka and ash markings on their foreheads and arms. Several use their right hands to take food from the leaves, with paper cups of water placed along the leaves. The man in the foreground, with glasses, is seen from the side, and a few wall-mounted framed photographs appear in the upper right corner. The scene suggests an annadan style communal meal.2013-07-10 +2 copiesAugust 02 20162016-08-02
