July 27 20142014-07-27A seated man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange-red ochre garment and a long gold bead necklace, extends his right hand to touch the forehead of a kneeling devotee. He has white vertical tilak and a red dot on his forehead. The devotee, with grey hair, wears a white shirt and an orange-red shawl with printed text, and presses his palms together in anjali mudra. Behind them stands a silver staff topped with a finial, a black cobra-shaped rod, and a golden ornamental seat, with red curtains behind. A partially visible peacock-feather fan appears at lower left. The gesture suggests a blessing or initiation. Swamiji (probable) is the seated figure, identified by long swept-back hair, ochre robes, gold beaded necklace and white tilak cues.2014-07-27May 02 20142014-05-02A photograph of a seated figure in orange saffron robes with a wrapped orange sash and a long rudraksha mala draped across the chest, raising a hand in blessing and touching the forehead of a man in white kurta and orange shawl who sits with palms pressed together. Behind them, a silver ornate seat or altar edge, purple flowers, and a green screen; several more people in white and red clothing sit or stand in the background.
