Silhouetted photograph of a standing figure under a corrugated metal roof outdoors, palm fronds visible behind. The figure's head is bowed and both hands are pressed together at the chest in anjali-like prayer, with layered rudraksha or bead malas hanging at the neck and wrists. The dark garment is a draped wrap. To the right, a gilded ornate ritual object with a finial and a small metal stand sits in the foreground. Identity cannot be determined from the silhouette, so the figure is described by role as a devotee or priest in prayer.2011-12-03A backlit silhouette of a single standing figure with long, wavy hair, wearing a dark red or maroon robe with a shawl draped over one shoulder. Strands of dark beads. The hands are clasped together at the waist. A red pillar and a dangling cord are in the foreground, with a blurred red-brick wall and green trees behind. The face is in shadow and cannot be made out.2011-12-05Backlit photograph of a man standing in a doorway, wearing a dark rudraksha mala with bead necklace layers, a dark shawl draped over his shoulders, and a striped brown-and-gold dhoti wrap at the waist; his hands are folded in front of him. Behind him, a blurred pink-draped arch frames two colourful deity murti figures in blue and orange garments, and a dark vehicle is visible on the left. Qualifying cues are a shawl and multiple rudraksha malas, but the figure is silhouetted and his face and features are not clear enough to confirm identity, so he is described as a person in ritual attire.2013-05-12March 03 20132013-03-03A standing man with short dark hair and a red-brown tilak on his forehead stands outdoors before large banyan tree trunks with dangling aerial roots. He wears a deep plum-coloured wrap garment with a gold-brocaded border over bare shoulders, layered gold necklaces and gold armlets and bangles, and holds his palms together at his chest in a respectful gesture. A low stone wall with a reddish earth ground lies in the foreground. a person is not clearly established by the cues here, so the figure is described by role as a devotee standing in reverence.2011-12-03Photograph of a single person standing in backlit warm light with palms pressed together in anjali mudra at the chest, eyes lowered. The person wears a rudraksha mala with multiple beads around the neck and an orange-brown cloth draped over the shoulders, bare-shouldered, with a small earring. Blurred green foliage and a red pillar sit in the background. The figure's appearance is compatible with the page's reference but the cues are not distinctive enough to confirm identity, so the role is given as a devotee in prayer position.2013-04-22A photograph of a man standing with his palms pressed together in front of his chest in a covered open-sided pavilion, with a gentle downward gaze. He wears layered heavy gold beaded necklaces, gold armlets and bangles, and a lavender-blue silk garment with a wide purple border worked in gold zari. Behind him are trees and a terracotta-coloured boundary wall, and a dark car door is visible at left. At right, a partial brass or bronze murti with ornate crown-like headdress stands on a pedestal. The setting appears to be a temple or ashram courtyard.2011-12-06July 25 20132013-07-25December 03 20112011-12-03A standing man in profile, bare-shouldered, wears a plum-purple silk draped garment with a wide orange-and-gold woven border. He has a red bindi on his forehead, multiple strands of gold beaded necklaces, gold beaded armbands and wrist bracelets, and his hands are clasped together at his chest. He looks upward and smiles. Behind him are large weathered banyan tree trunks with aerial roots, and low sandstone steps lie at the lower edge. A purple bird logo sits in the upper left corner and a copyright line appears in the lower right. Whether this is a person cannot be determined from appearance alone.2011-12-03 +1 copiesNovember 28 20112011-11-28August 31 20112011-08-31
