A photograph of a homa fire ritual in a courtyard at night. A square stone fire pit with glowing embers sits in the foreground, surrounded by brass vessels, kalasha-style pots, a yellow bowl and small plates of offerings. Behind it, a central figure with long, swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron robe, ornate gold necklaces and a rudraksha mala, sits on a silver-backed throne with a leopard-print cushion and raises a hand in blessing. Around them, rows of seated devotees in saffron and orange robes with gold borders hold their palms together and hold small bundles of sticks, while shaved-headed monks in orange sit to the left. A standing man in white with a ceremonial cloth and a long-handled item stands at the upper left, and string lights glow in the background.2013-03-10August 12 20162016-08-12A photograph taken on a dirt path through a palm grove. In the centre, a figure in an orange-saffron robe with long dark hair walks away from the camera, carrying a bag over one shoulder. Around them, several people in plain white clothes walk and stand on the sand; some carry small bowls, trays or items in their hands, and one holds a long pole with an orange cloth near the right edge. Coconut palms, shrubs and mounds of red earth frame the scene, with a few discarded sandals and a rock visible on the ground.2007-03-06Six women sit cross-legged in a row on mats in an outdoor courtyard of sandy earth, each seated within a circular ring of grey ash. They wear white garments with yellow shawls or orange-red stoles, and their eyes are closed in meditation. Behind them stand orange-painted stone platforms, one topped with a tall ornamental column, and a black stone Nandi bull draped with yellow and orange garlands. A dark stone figure stands at the left edge beside palm trees and a small shrine.2010-09-18Annadhan in 20122012-01-01 +2 copiesNovember 06 20112011-11-06April 02 20162016-04-02A photograph of an evening gathering in a crowded hall where a long-haired figure in an orange turban and orange robe, with a rudraksha mala, sits on the right and receives papers from a devotee.
