December 09 20062006-12-09December 09 20062006-12-09Night photograph at a temple construction site on dusty ground lit by a single distant lamp. In the centre, a man in an orange saffron robe and matching orange turban, with a long wooden staff in his right hand and a rudraksha mala draped across his chest, walks forward. To the left, a man in white dhoti and shirt with a white shawl and a red-bead mala stands near a stone. Behind them, workers in white clothes and orange shawls move among the site, and a white tent canopy stands in the background. On the right, a man in a white checked shirt holds a flat tool on his shoulder. Visible cues on the central figure: orange turban, saffron robe, rudraksha mala and staff, matching the page's a person label, so the candidate is probable, in person.December 09 20062006-12-09January 02 20122012-01-02December 12 20062006-12-12Night-time outdoor photo at a ritual site on bare ground strewn with straw. A row of people stands in the foreground. On the left, a man in a striped shirt stands with arms folded beside a man in white dhoti and shirt. At centre, a figure in a bright orange-red saffron wrap and rudraksha mala stands with hands together, and a man in orange robes and a mala stands beside him. On the right, a bare-chested man in a white dhoti holds a tray or vessel and another man in orange with a rudraksha mala stands nearby. Several people in white clothes stand behind them under a strip of multicoloured prayer flags. Bright flash glare sits on the centre.2011-01-14Night-time outdoor photograph at a construction site for a temple consecration. In the foreground, a man in white dhoti with orange shawl carries a flat wooden tray covered with white cloth. Beside him, a man in white with an orange shawl holds a small brass or metal vessel with a red cloth. To the right, a man with long dark swept-back hair wears an orange saffron robe and holds folded orange cloth, appearing to be a sannyasi; the appearance is consistent with the page's a person reference but the face is not clearly confirmed, so it is treated as uncertain. Behind them, several men in white dhotis and orange shawls stand or bend over a pit in the dirt. A small concrete base with metal rods stands in front of the tray. Bright lights are visible in the dark background.2006-12-11Night photograph at a temple construction site on red earth, lit by a few lamps. In the foreground stands a person in an orange turban, orange robe and orange shawl, one hand raised to the face, wearing sandals. Around them, several people in white dhotis and white kurtas with orange shawls move about the excavated ground, with a rebar frame and a wooden pole visible at left. Mounds of soil surround the pit.Night photograph at an outdoor site with reddish-brown earth and a tarpaulin canopy overhead. In the foreground a man with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron wrap, bare-chested, with orange sandals, standing with his eyes lowered. Behind him to the left, several people in white dhotis and white shirts, some with orange shawls, stand in a line; one carries a small red bag. A bright red cloth is held up in the middle ground. Two dark rectangular stone or concrete pillars with upright metal rods stand on the ground, and a small mound of earth sits between them.2006-12-10A dim, smoky workshop photograph showing four men at a metal casting area. In the foreground right, a man in an orange shawl with long, swept-back dark hair and bare upper arm stands with an open palm extended toward a worktable. To his left, a man in white kurta and orange shawl gestures with his hand, and behind him a man in white kurta with an orange shawl and red rudraksha-style cord, wearing a wristwatch, looks on. At the far right, a man in white shirt and glasses stands beside wooden poles and a metal tool. Stone block walls form the backdrop.2006-12-10July 10 20082008-07-10
