Foreground: a smiling woman in a white sari with gold border and rudraksha mala, a woman in a bright orange sari with a long braided rope at her waist, and a woman in white with a red bindi and rudraksha mala holding a pole. A photograph of a procession on a dirt path lined with green shrubs and trees. Several people carry large red, orange and green parasols with fringed tassels and blue dove-emblem panels. Most walkers wear saffron orange robes and rudraksha malas, while others wear white dhotis and white shirts with orange shawls. In the foreground a woman in a white sari with an orange shawl and a red bindi looks toward the camera, and a bald man in saffron robes with a white tilak stands at right. Another man at the right edge wears white clothing and a rudraksha mala. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance cues alone, so the figure is unsure.

A procession of women walks outdoors under a grove of palm trees, carrying decorated parasols in green, red, pink, purple and gold with beaded fringes. In the foreground a woman in an orange sari with a long rudraksha mala smiles and gestures with her arms, while beside her a woman in a white sari with gold border and red bindi wears a rudraksha mala and tripundra marks. Other women wear pastel and blue saris, gold necklaces and bangles, and some hold glasses. Behind them a man in a light shirt and a woman in white walk among the parasols, with thatched roofs and palm trunks in the background.

Some participants carry small decorated objects, and a parade of people continues into the distance.

A photograph of a procession of women and girls in saffron-orange saris walking barefoot along a paved path under a metal-roofed walkway, many carrying ornate handheld parasols in red, orange, pink, purple and dark blue with fringed tassels and mirror-work borders. Several women wear rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and bangles. Palm trees and a tall lamp post stand behind them, with a man in white and a few onlookers visible in the background. The scene suggests a ritual or devotional procession.
