He wears a rust-orange garment, a long rudraksha-style mala with gold beads, a large gold pendant, and a pink lotus garland over the shoulders, plus gold armbands and bangles. The gold-embossed throne and red velvet cushions frame him.2016-10-06January 21 20182018-01-21A seated man wearing a brown turban and a red bindi on his forehead sits before a flower-decorated backdrop of yellow marigolds, purple globe flowers and red roses. He wears a maroon draped robe with a gold-bordered edge and a heavy gold bead necklace. His hands are clasped in his lap and he looks to the side with a composed expression. The probable Swamiji cues are the turban, long hair, ornate gold necklace and garland-framed seat.2010-10-11June 23 20122012-06-23A man seated on an ornate gold-and-red throne, wearing a large black turban with a silver crescent ornament and a red bindi on a white-marked forehead. He wears a rust-orange shawl draped over one shoulder, layered gold bead and ceremonial necklaces, a gold armlet, and garlands of white jasmine and red-and-yellow flowers. A golden trident stands to the left against a deep red curtain, and a blurred figure is at the bottom edge. Appearance-based candidate: Swamiji (probable), given the crescent, turban, saffron-toned shawl and ceremonial gold necklaces; the seated figure is the candidate.2016-07-15A man seated on an ornate gold throne with his eyes closed and palms pressed together in namaste at his chest. He wears a brown turban with a jewelled ornament, a tilak on his forehead, layered garlands of yellow marigolds, red roses and pink lotus with rudraksha beads, and a brown dhoti. Background shows gilded carved throne panels and a draped hall.2016-12-07A man with long dark dreadlocked hair piled high in a turban-like crown, a red tilak on his forehead and a short beard, stands bare-shouldered with his palms pressed together in namaste. He wears layers of multicoloured flower garlands in red, yellow, white and green, plus heavy gold ceremonial necklaces with black beads and rudraksha malas on his wrists and arms. Behind him, a silver trident and a silver ceremonial staff with crescent finials stand out, and several people in saffron and orange robes are visible in the background, one with palms folded. The wrapped white-and-gold sash and layered ornaments suggest a formal ritual setting. The setting appears to be an indoor temple or hall with greenery at the top. Visible cues include the crown-like hair, ornate gold necklaces and garlands, which support the appearance-based label Swamiji (probable) for this figure.2018-04-14 +1 copiesSeptember 06 2916
