A tall umbrella-like canopy with a colourful striped fringe is carried on a pole near the centre. Beside it, a man in an orange robe with a saffron-coloured shawl walks with his hands folded, and a row of people in white ritual clothes and dhotis walk behind him. A woman in a green shawl and red salwar stands at left. Orange-robed figures and a man in orange stand at right beside a red tractor decorated with flags. Orange and red saffron flags line the path, and red-and-orange buildings with domes frame the scene. The procession is a religious parade.2011-12-05Night photo at an outdoor festival setting with a large illuminated deity murti of Mahishasura Mardhini, a goddess slaying a demon, behind a gilded cart. Around him, saffron-robed and bare-chested devotees and attendants stand near the cart. In the foreground, a bearded man in white dhoti with a gold border and rudraksha mala holds a red umbrella beside a red tractor. Colourful paper lanterns and garlands decorate the canopy above.
