Most people wear white dhotis and shirts, with some in colourful clothing. In the foreground at left, a bald figure in a rust-red saffron robe with an orange-red head wrap and a red-beaded bracelet holds a long wooden pole decorated with fresh banana leaves and green foliage, apparently part of a ceremonial structure. A second person in a red-brown robe with an orange-red turban stands beside them. A corrugated tin roof and white-painted wooden railings occupy the right side of the frame.2014-06-29 +1 copiesOutdoor temple procession climbing a concrete staircase beneath a leafy bamboo and banana-leaf canopy. In front, a shaved-headed monastic in saffron-orange robes with a gold-and-saffron shawl and rudraksha mala walks ahead. Behind him, another saffron-robed monastic wearing a deep orange turban and a marigold garland steps up. Devotees surround them, including a man in a white dhoti holding a brass plate with a lit oil lamp, and men in white shirts and dark trousers. Onlookers in white and green clothing watch from below beside a parked dark SUV and a row of festive pink and yellow decorations.2015-05-01Outdoor photo of a man in a saffron-red turban and matching saffron-orange robe with a gold-bordered shawl, standing with palms pressed together in namaste beside a large copper kalasha on a bamboo scaffold. He wears a long white garland of flowers and a red floral garland, and a rudraksha mala hangs at his chest. Behind him stands a second person in saffron clothing, and at right a figure in white holds a red umbrella. Orange flags, banana leaves, palm trees and a tent structure fill the background.2014-06-29 +1 copiesJuly 27 20082008-07-27Photograph of a man standing outdoors before palm trees, wearing a rust-red sannyasi-style cloth draped over the shoulder and wrapped at the waist with a gold-bordered sash. He has a red bindi on his forehead and holds a rope swing with both hands. He wears long garlands of white jasmine with yellow and red flower clusters, plus a rudraksha-style mala of gold-tipped beads across the chest.2014-10-05Outdoor street scene with a robed figure standing barefoot on a large black stone kalasha or pot ringed with pink flower garlands. The central figure wears an orange turban, saffron-orange draped robes, a long garland of white and orange-red flowers, and a rudraksha mala, with a small dark tassel-ended garland hanging at the front. Another attendant beside him wears white and an orange sash. Around them, men in white dhotis and shirts stand close, one holding a silver tray of flowers and offerings, and a photographer with a large camera is at the right. A tall white pole wrapped in yellow and pink flowers rises at right. Behind is a building with a printed portrait banner and marigold garlands strung along the facade under an overcast sky.2010-02-18
