February 15 20072007-02-15February 15 20072007-02-15A homa fire burns in a white brick fire pit decorated with flower petals, with trays of puffed grain, sweets and flower offerings arranged on blue cloth in front. A figure in orange robes with long swept-back dark hair sits cross-legged at the right, holding a small brass vessel and a plate of red powder near the flame; the figure appears to be Swamiji (probable), with long hair and orange clothing as cues. Seated devotees in white and cream clothing, many women in saris, watch from the left and centre, and a child in red stands at the right. Decorative striped pillars and a marigold-decorated gateway frame the open-sided hall behind, and an orange-robed priest stands at the left edge.2007-02-15A seated teacher in a red and saffron robe sits on a red-cushioned silver throne at the front of a hall, facing a large seated congregation. He wears a long gold-bead necklace and has long dark hair. Beside him stand tall silver ceremonial staffs topped with a trident-like finial and a decorative metal fan. Devotees in orange, saffron and white clothes, some with rudraksha malas and some barefoot, fill the floor. A red fire extinguisher hangs on the white wall behind, and framed religious pictures decorate the upper wall. Swamiji (probable) appears as the seated teacher on the throne, with long hair, a gold necklace and saffron-red robes; the appearance is consistent but not conclusive.2017-07-07 +1 copiesA seated woman in orange and maroon robes, wearing a red and white flower garland and bangles, holds a silver trident aloft beside a small flame in a brass lamp on a patterned mat. A plate of white flowers sits in front. Around her, a crowd of devotees sits and stands with palms pressed together in a whitewashed room with framed pictures, many women in saffron, pink and green saris and men in white shirts. A young girl in white watches the flame, and a monk in saffron stands behind with a pair of traditional cymbal-like instruments. The scene shows a pada puja at a devotee's house.2014-06-26Photo of a temple hall during a devotional event. A seated figure on a red-cushioned throne wears orange robes, a long red-and-pink garland and a bead necklace, with long dark hair and a red mark on the forehead. A woman in a white sari with orange and blue border stands at left with palms pressed together in greeting. Devotees in white and orange sit on the floor, a man in white kurta stands with arms folded, and a crowd watches from behind near orange banners and a decorated pillar. Flower garlands drape the throne backdrop.2006-12-30December 24 20072007-12-24A large hall filled with seated devotees in white and saffron clothing, many wearing white headbands and rudraksha malas. At the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a reddish-brown garment sits on an ornate brown leather throne, raising one hand and holding a small stick. Probable Swamiji: long swept-back hair, reddish-brown robe and rudraksha-style beads mark him as the presiding teacher, seated above the crowd with an orange cloth-covered stand and a small device before him. Many people sit cross-legged on the floor facing him, with red and white curtains and framed posters on the walls behind.2015-07-28February 16 20072007-02-16May 22 20062006-05-22February 24 20072007-02-24A photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes with a long gold ceremonial necklace and a red bindi on his forehead, sitting upright beside a tall golden staff in a large crowded hall. Behind him, many devotees sit in white and saffron clothes, several wearing garlands of yellow and white flowers; a woman in a brown-and-gold sari sits with hands folded, and a man in white kneels near a red box with small oil lamps and flower petals on a mat in front. The mood is a devotional assembly or darshan. Swamiji (probable): the seated man wears saffron robes, a long ornate gold necklace and long swept-back hair, consistent with the page's Swamiji attribution.2008-12-26 +1 copies
